The Weightlifters Thread

It's sort of a combo problem. I have chronic issues with the iliotibial band on both sides, so I have regular issues with both hip cramps and swollen knees. I've had a total of about half a year of physical therapy going back over the last four years, so I can usually manage it pretty well with a combination of stretching and tape I use to hold my patella in place when I work out my legs. Still hurts every now and then.

My hips hurt when I squat really deep like that and heavy, I am 25 and it just recently started. Definitely no where near as bad as yours. You are a beast just for squatting with those knee/hip problems. Most people would just use that as an excuse.

Week 3 on C20. This will be the week that decides if I order the second bottle and complete the full 8 weeks. No significant effects up until this point.

I just recently finished my first bottle. Lost 9 lbs of bad weight and hitting new highs in the gym. I'm gonna try to maintain now with diet.

I'm appreciative of it because it forced me into a place where I have to have quality stretches and protective braces and that sort of thing.

I've lost 3 pounds, but I'm still eating 3000+ calories a day, so that's pretty impressive, IMO. I was thinking if I could hit my strength goals, I'd diet with the second bottle, but I don't really feel that I've benefitted too much strength-wise.

I have produced significant gains, but my workout partner (the control), who isn't on any supplements, and eats half as much as I do, is making the exact same strength gains that I am.... it's kinda discouraging. So I'm not willing to attribute any of my gains to the C20.

I don't think it claims to increase strength gains, but it helps to tone. I'm happy now and the only thing I've changed in my diet is no alcohol during the week. I consume about 2700-2800 cal per day and lost the love handles. Now 6'1" 178 lbs prob around 9-10% body fat. I'll check it tomorrow.

Nice. I got a caliper from GNC, but it seems my body fat varies from 18% to 24%.... so.... I need to get it checked by someone who knows wtf they're doing.

9-10% is crazy good! congrats! So you done dieting? I wouldn't want to go lower than that.

I incorporate them, I really like them especially when you have someone who can put plates on you.

I use the smith machine at a height where I can just squat and put the plate in my lap, reach the bar, and prop my legs up on a bench. It's a hassle, but like you said, it's nice with the extra weight.

Mostly genetics. I stayed around 6% until about 25 yrs old. I was raised by a health Nazi mother. It was not always easy as a young kid but it ingrained some good habits I'm happy for now.

I feel like C20 has increased how sore I am considerably. I didn't lift significantly higher weight this week, and I did the same reps, yet I am soooo sore.
