The Weightlifters Thread

I've had rotator cuff issues in the last year. I got a cortizone shot and it's been fine since. You know how to properly warm up your rotator, right?

Oh dang you did not just mention cortizone shots!!! That will never ever ever ever EVER happen!

'scuse me while I go throw up at the thought of a cortizone shot (worked for a podiatrist...I know how they do them.)

Had a late chest day as well. Actually had a buddy go with me so I got to push myself today. Feels goodman.jpeg.

What's a good diet some of you guys use? I've been running on a stationary bike every night for the past week or so really trying to just sweat a lot and lose weight fast. I've been trying to eat at least one salad everyday and for the most part I'd just cut ever meal I ate in half and try to stay under my calorie limit for the day.

Joined a new gym today. Went from 33 a month to 54 a month but I think it's going to be worth it. It has a lot more stuff and is so much nicer. Excited. I'm still concerned that my weight lifting may be hurting my golf swing but I'm so inconsistent anyways that it's hard to tell. :dunno:

Have an appt with an ortho on Monday afternoon about my shoulder.

I can do chest flys, but not chest press. I can do bicep curls, and skull crushers, but not overhead press. I have to bend over at the waist to take off my workout tank top.

Reckon he can diagnose me with that info without having to test range of motion or anything?

MusclePharm posts workouts on their Facebook page fairly often. I did a back workout they had yesterday and my back feels pretty good today.

The gym that I go to now has some pretty sweet equipment. Everyday I wake up now after a workout, whatever muscle group I did feels awesome. Esspecialy my back.

I did sumo deadlifts yesterday for the first time and thought they were a little tougher, maybe just because it was the first time I had done them. Really exaggerated the lockout at the top and I'm feeling it in a good way.

I've heard good things about those.

I regularly vary stance and execution on squats and deadlifts, it's a good habit

Seemed to engage hamstrings a bit more as well in addition to back. I do deadlifts on back day so I'm able to squat heavier and not overdo it. I'll probably start alternating between sumo and regular stance.

PS- 600 posts. It only took 5 1/2 years.
