Cold, about 17.5, with a pump between 18-18.5.. I wish I could get my chest to grow like my arms. Working out alone for the most part stops me from pushing myself on chest day tho. Tips?

High reps, light weight always worked out pretty good for me when working out by myself. That's just me though.

Dumbbells are my main tool when I take a heavy approach since I don't have a spotter either. I put the DBs on my knees to lift 'em as I roll from my butt to my back and push the weight up. That first rep is really hard, but the method enables me to use as much as 115, which for me is a ton of f-ing weight.

this is how I've always done it. Plus I can't use spotters, dunno why. Always been too distracted.

Just gotta treat chest day and back day like it's the main event every week, from breakfast to bed time

Yeah, I don't like working out with a partner cause it easily turns into social hour. My side-business partner is like 400 lbs (he's only 27), and I'm really worried about him so I'm going to start training him. I'll have to learn to keep myself on task I guess.

That is why I lift alone, too many people just go to the gym to socialize.

haha my babe is in the lifting while I am.

Since I am the new guy at the gym i go to I have probably been given the "weird guy label" since I don't speak to anyone.

your babe lifts?

Yes, she knows her ****. She realizes that lifting is not going to make her look bulky.

Better than the guy who stares at chicks the whole time.

You are my hero. How did you manage to get her to go with you. Most of the ones I get are more into those pole dancing workout clubs. Seems to be the cool thing for women to do nowadays.

When we met she was kind of into it, but I guess she saw how much I enjoy lifting/nutrition that she wanted to do it more. She knows her stuff. I am glad she lifts but if she did not I would be fine with it.

My buddy's GF just graduated after competing in gymnastics and now her focus is cross fit. Not that he really needed it, but she keeps him on point even moreso. My wife is a runner, so she stays fit, but I'm trying to get her to lift more.

Got my MRI results today. Doc pretty much told me to go ahead with anything that doesn't hurt my shoulder. Gotta call the PT place and setup therapy twice a week for three weeks. I'm just glad to know exactly what the deal with my shoulder is. I'm gonna be back!!!
