The Weightlifters Thread

Revisiting this. I haven't taken an ice bath since the first one. I got a cold the day after (coincidence?) my first one. Since then I have on 2 occasions swam in a very cold pool for about 20-30 minutes.

It must really burn a crapload of calories because I ate uncontrollably Saturday and Sunday. I think I need to do it in the morning before I go to work. That way I don't have access to a ton of food.
Swimming burns a ****load of calories, regardless of water temp. Definitely good to mix in every now and then, I usually just go all-out but I can get in maybe 8 laps before I'm completely winded.

I am doing a clean bulk, not really trying to gain more than 2-3lbs a month. Not trying to get fat like most guys do.

I gave up on "clean bulks."

Too much work, and I like terribly unhealthy foods. Dieting is easy when that's your focus, but trying to diet and consume enough calories simultaneously is a full time job.

That is what I like. I eat 400 calories over maintenance, but I also splurge and eat bad foods sometimes. I just hate the idiots in my gym who say man I am bulking. Most do not make progress and just get fat. It is not hard just plan your meals.

I do. But I eat a lot of pasta with my chicken. Steaks and potatoes. And pizza.

When I say terribly unhealthy, I don't mean junk and fast food. I just am not going to sit there and plan out a meal where my calories come from exactly the right places, and there are no bad fats, etc. I'm gonna grab a bunch of stuff that sounds good to me, throw it in a pan, and enjoy it.

Oh I understand, I was not trying to imply you were like that with fast food all the time etc. I just see guys who all just worried about the number on the scale, and getting that up there. I have no problem with it, but it is not for me.
