I do not consider the asians "gangs" anymore gangs than I consider the mafia a gang.

When you speak of the Wah Ching etc you are still speaking about the Triad...which is on a whole other level of crazy.

To be honest, it is racist to even bring up that issue unless it is clear the staff/team/whatever is rejecting people because of race. The whole Tennessee only has only one "black coach" issue is bs.

You should also check the statistics on poverty, crime rate, pregnancy, single parent family, and illiteracy in that area. Then you can see why those numbers are so high for gang affiliation. Yeah gangs are glamorized today but so were the Mafia/and others in the movies back in the day. Of course, we look in and see people in gangs and say wow, why don't they just realize what they are doing, but sometimes that's all they know.

I didn't post as a moral statement but as statistical criteria for crime associations. There are many more inputs of potential explanation than just "the Man is perpetrating a grand conspiracy against a certain race".

I did not confine my comment to money alone but since you ask, their are those that would not have a source of income if not for racism. A certain reverend comes to mind. Politicians use racism to divide the people and get themselves r/elected to retain/gain power.

There is no denying throughout this countries history there have been terrible things happen due to racism.. This is incredibly sad when you consider the root idea behind it. The idea that one group is inferior just because their skin color, nationality, religious belief, etc. is ridiculous to the point of being comical to a rationally minded person.

IMO, these petty prejudices only aid in distracting a nation of people from concentrating on the real problems this country faces. If we don't set aside these things and get to work on putting this country back on the right path, quite simply we will lose her.

I know, a little long winded..

That's why when the old Apartheid government of South Africa was seeking a biological means of eradicating blacks, they failed. Their research found that if such a weapon was employed it wouldn't spare Whites because humans are too alike right down to the deepest DNA levels. That was back in the 1980's when I read this but their research dated back to the 1960's if I recall right. And it had CIA support at the time. I have always had respect for US News&World Report for publishing the article when no the publication had the guts to do so. Wish I had saved it.

Yes and no. Yes, because Blacks are targeted because they're Black. That's why if a Black person walks into certain places or is in certain towns day or night, they're targeted. I saw this plainly when I and my friend stopped in Richardsville, KY. You would be surprised how many cops are members of fringe groups that advocate racial hatreds. The badge lets them get away with a lot of things. Sad for me because I have known some great cops, been on rideouts with them and gained immense respect for the job they do. But they also have too many hoodlums in uniform. It's a well-known fact that when two people face White judges, the Black gets the harsher sentence 9 times out of 10.

No, because I would be the first to tell you that anyone who doesn't have the sense or will to obey the law, belongs in jail. And whatever else the law stipulates as consequences for specific crimes.

I think you know all this and are asking this question in search of a means to justify you position on race. You ignore clarifying statements to focus on the one thing you already believe in. That's just what I think and I could be wrong.

I don't like Crush's word choice referring to Whites as stupid rednecks. But let me state something about the chart showing gang associations. These charts aren't accurate when it comes to Whites in gangs. That's because certain ones like KKK, Skinheads, Aryan Nation, and others maintain a lower profile and instruct members to not respond to such surveys or deny membership. They tend to be more sneaky in their criminal acts and maintain enclaves, mainly in Idaho, Oregon, and Montana, and Wyoming. But they also have them down South too. Their memberships include people not normally associated with gangs. University professors, cops, preachers, doctors, and other "law abiding" citizens. They're gang bangers fixated on racial hatred but it seems no one has the guts to stand up and say so.

Crush: One thing I don't believe is deniable. Your reference to the ACT testing. Asians have a strong family drive to excel educationally. Blacks don't do this near enough. No matter how poor you may be, to not actively promote the education of your offspring is inexcusable. The friend I keep referring to told me his mother and aunts insisted that he spend 2 hours each day and 5 hours on Saturdays (or Friday nights, I don't recall exactly) at the library reading magazines, books, newspapers etc instead of hanging around on street corners. To this day, you will see him with a book in his face instead of a video game unit or even Kindle or other electronic media. yeah he's a college graduate and all that. The failure to not actively push the kid academically is why so many superb Black athletes don't qualify for college enrollment. Dobbs is a welcome exception. So both I and my friend agree that are doing themselves the biggest disservice by not focusing on education. In the past even a well-educated Black often had to take a janitorial job because no one would hire and pay him or her what they would a White with the same education. But now, that's not true in many cases so no excuse.

Is that a fact? I'll admit that I haven't followed this statistic in any great detail, but it's not well known to me. Please provide statistical backing, including comparative details per:

Previous arrest records,
public/private defenders,
etc...

I've seen you throw out information that you can't possibly have access to (fringe group law enforcement), and reference stats that you haven't provided, and which would need further analysis even when provided (the "everyone knows" argument is fallacious).

As long as this country continues to foster an attitude of "I am a victim" on it's population, racism will exist. When a people can stand up and say that they aren't victims, then equality will rapidly replace racism. Racism in this country exists because our illustrious leaders in Washington need for it to exist. Much in the same way there will never be a flat/fair tax or term limits. Racism and an unequal tax burden are required by those that run this country. How else can so many that do so little remain in power for so long?

First let me make it clear, I’m not anti-cop for two reasons. One is that I know too well what happens when you take them off the street. Remember Katrina? Two is that after what I saw them do on 9/11, I firmly believe taxpayers don’t pay cops enough for the job they do. So don’t go trying to throw me into the category of anti-cop. The fact is, some of them are little more than hoodlums in uniform. Yes, it is a fact. Whether you like it or not. Same thing with some teachers being little more than pedophiles with a degree. The operative word is SOME. But when you’re so blind by choice about something, no way you can see the truth for what it is without mudding it with fake diluting claims and asking for proof of something that’s common knowledge.

Contrary to popular belief, cops aren’t stupid. Do you believe those who are members of fringe groups will allow a paper trail indicating that? The closest the public will ever get to knowing some of their cops are members of such groups is video, audio and other proof of obviously racial based use of excessive force and even illegal acts.
Example: 1. Oklahoma Highway Patrol fight with EMT - YouTube
Example: 2. Police brutality use of excessive force on Female - YouTube (Cop was fired when someone leaked the video to the media. Prior to that the PD was keeping it under wraps.)

The new thing is to prevent people from videotaping cops. You then have no proof of their misconduct.

Ok, the mods have been impossibly tolerant of this thread. If nothing else it proves the polarity that exists between the races remains the same to this day and is alive and well among Vols fans. But for me, I’m done with the thread. It is serving no positive purpose because at a point when certain people dead set on holding fast to their preconceptions as opposed to actually learning from one another, all cause is lost. Peace out.

CRUSH: If you're still reading, no hard feelings on my part with you (or anyone really)-but what happened here is what happens every time people gather to discuss racism. When done frankly, people saying what they really think as opposed to sugarcoating, turmoil rules every time. What it means is we as a species have so much more growing to do. And we remain too dumb to realize how strong we could be if we put detrimental attitudes and behaviors aside. If we did, we'd have colonized the moon and Mars long ago. We'd probably be mining the asteroid belt and sending "seed" ships to the closest star systems by now. But we're just too stupid to merge into a whole right now. this thread proves it once again. A darn shame. And on that note, I abandon this thread.

No "turmoil" on my end. I was just asking for you to give some backing to the claims that you made that seem obviously inconsistent. On one hand, you made the argument that white-extreme groups hide their membership very well and so we can't know the associations well enough to form statistics, then immediately referred to some "common knowledge" about extreme group activity in our law enforcement community, universities, legal system, etc...

It's a bit of a self-defeating argument (edit: while also being a conveniently non-falsifiable claim).

I am not blind by choice. I am merely seeking an objective view of the situation. If you knew me, you would know how blatantly not-racist I am.

And second edit, sorry: I wasn't saying there aren't "some" bad egg/racists in those communities. I was asking for proof that it is wide-spread enough to blame the prison population statistics on. That was the original context of this part of the discussion, so to connect "some" bad eggs to a national statistic is a huge jump.
