It's been a long time since we have dominated boxing. There has always been questionable scoring. If I recall Roy Jones Jr didn't win gold in controversy. Perhaps Mayweather didn't either.

The US style is considered too flashy by international judges. But in international competition outside of Olympic competition north and central American technique and competition is vastly superior.

Mayweather beat the other guy so bad that the ref raised his hand before the judges revealed the cards and showed he lost. One judge resigned over it. The US challenged to no avail.

He went on to never lose again as u know.

Holyfield got screwed too on a hit on the break they disqualified him for.

I heard Chinese Twitter is awful. Read an article about how athletes who didn't win gold took abuse, as well as opponents who beat Chinese athletes.

Sugar ray vs Duran is an example of this.

In the second fight sugar ray fought old school style and lost on points. In the 3rd fight he went back to his flare style and beat the holy hell out of him.
