If a church doesn't want to recognize gay marriage then whatever floats their boat. It's a completely different issue for the government to recognize it though. Panics the government decided to grant so many special rights to married couples, they should have an obligation to acknowledge hetero and homosexual marriage so as to treat all citizens equally. Not doing so because of Christianity is religious persecution.

I'm pretty sure marriage in the US is based on insurance coverage, taxes and estate planning, not the bible.

I'm not saying you are wrong but it's just the way it is. Marriage was based on two people, a man and a woman, it comes straight from the bible. And if we want to throw that out the window, then why shouldn't we allow 3-5 people get married and take advantage of those same rights. What makes you stop at two? Where did the two come from?

No, I'm saying both naturally occur and are equally valid. I don't pass judgment on homosexuality being wrong, just different from what I am. Since it causes no one any harm your classification as a "sickness" is way off base.

No point in announcing your sexuality other than for attention. Shouldn't act like it's a big deal and it won't be!

Personally my existence seems a little to special to me to be an accident. I guess it's human nature to believe we are here for some bigger purpose. I want to believe that, but I also am a realist and everything points to us being here by dumb luck. Just a little proof would be nice. The whole blind faith thing is a tough one.

I done explained my screw up on the sickness part. I don't care who is gay or who isn't. I just don't believe a person is born that way and that is my opinion and that is all Im saying.

So are you saying that gays haven't had their sexuality? Because if so, that's stupid. That can't be taken away from anyone unless one goes under the knife. You cannot simply replace money with sexuality because that statement would be incomplete and borderline middle schoolish. Now if you replace money with open sexuality then it kinda makes sense.
