This is what happens when you stick with bad Qbs—Guarantano part 2

Milton didnt cost us the game. Heupels decision making and play calling did.
Ok I tend to agree to a point. The first half Milton, played pretty good, and then the second half it was as though Hype tried to sit on the lead, and then monmentum changed with the start of the 3rd qtr, when Bama scored on the first possession, however there was a bad bad hold on the td pass by Bama that wasn't called thus the huge momentum shift. You can't sit on a lead and play conservativeagainst a good team. Also I fail to understand why when it is 4th and short you line up in shotgun formation.

How many true freshmen are starting in the SEC as qb, anyone have a stat for that?
True freshmen are not ready for this league, I just don’t get it either.. why this board is ate up with stupid
Would Saban have changed quarterbacks with a 5 star sitting on the bench? I think so, he has done it before, he thinks about winning now not in the future.

I would say that statement is a huge load of crap, but I’m sure Heup told you that so I won’t.
no - its posted all over on VN - so many comments about Nicos size - and how the OL would ruin him - get him injured etc but keep whining about Milton

Not that I care enough to go back and dig, but I’d say they are performing pretty close.

I can’t remember any game that was close against the big 3 where JG had 300+ yards and multiple TD’s. Especially a game where we weren’t constantly playing from behind where he racked up a lot of yards….

Joe's not gonna win you games. He's gonna play about even no matter the competition. He is what he is.

I'll ask everyone this, do we see Hendon if Joe stays healthy in 21? What happens in the 22 season? I don't think so, Heupel is dead set on starting Joe. Heupel has already proved he'll start the wrong QB.
Last guy stuck with JG for what 3 years? Milton wasn't the biggest issue yesterday but he was certainly part of it. His decision making in critical situations is really bad.. He ran hard when he did run and that needs to remain a part of this offense.

I’m not a JG fan at all, but he’s much of the same as Milton. Flashes of brilliance and moments of ignorance. 0 decision making from either one. Decent games followed by awful games.

JG never flashed brilliance against the Big 3….. his biggest performances tended to be South Carolina and Missouri games…. Cocks and Cats he could look decent. Anyone else and he was very bland…… the comparisons are just mind numbing.

Lol it got said on VN so it’s true. Keep telling yourself that. Bet you think gruden is still on his way as well. If Nico isn’t playing it’s because the coaches think he’s not ready. It really is that simple no matter how many conspiracies you want to cook up. Milton hasn’t been killed in the backfield this year like you're trying act. I don’t care enough to look, but I bet our team isn’t at the top of this list for giving up hits and sacks. Look it up for us.

They really aren’t. They both have 0 football IQ, 0 awareness, and 0 ability to carry the team to a win when needed. Have you’re love affair for Milton all you want, but they are both subpar QBs that should’ve never started for a program like UT.

I do agree with you that some on this board are ”ate up with stupid” and oh, by the way, regarding true freshmen QB’s starting in the SEC, you may have heard of this guy Peyton Manning or more recently, Bo Nix and Jake Fromm. And should you choose to look at other Power 5 conferences you would find names like Trevor Lawrence, Sam Howell, Sam Hartman, Max Duggan, Phillip Rivers and Robert Griffen III to name a few.

Hmmmm … I guess I would fall into your ”intelligence challenged” group because I do think true freshmen can play QB in this league and if Nico is the real deal as described I think he should be starting for Tennessee for the remainder of the season or at a minimum start getting some significant and meaningful playing time. It’s clear now that the Vols are not winning the East and not playing in any championship games this year and will be relegated to a minor to mid bowl game so why not give our talented freshman the reins now to prepare for 2024 thereby avoiding a early season learning curve next year. IMO we are heading for an 8-4 or worst case 7-5 season regardless of who is playing QB.

Nico has been with the team for over 10 months, is listed as the backup QB and isn’t redshirting. So if he’s not ready to come in at least for a few meaningful drives then that’s, once again, on this coaching staff which is looking more inept by the week.

If he's any good we'll have him for 2 years then he's gone.. Kids don't stay 4 years barely 3 anymore if they can get the money they cash in..Don't blame them it's how the system works now.

Saban and his staff adjusted at the half, and Heupel and co had no response on either side of the ball for those adjustments.

The moronic 4th down calls by Heupel, and Milton's inaccuracies were just icing on the turd cake that we'd already made by not having a response to Alabama's adjustments.

I like Heupel but this is just stupid. We knew Milton would cost us games like this. He knew it. We knew it. Everyone knew it. The inability to score even a point in the 2nd half is on QB1.

Real annoyed.
Did you pay attention to the game? We were not going to win this game. Odds were not in our favor.
