again, America agreeing is not any sort of merit badge earner. America's history is littered with absolutely stupid popular positions.
The promise of someone else's stuff at no cost was Obama's message. It was voted for in droves. Call it whatever you want. Droski called it our being enamored with the shiny quarter. That doesn't change the message that Obama preached. Robin Hood sells, especially to stupid and lazy people.
I say it a lot, but we have been duly warned that our republic is in trouble when the populace decides that it will repeatedly vote for the people that will give them the most free stuff. Obama is precisely one of those guys. Gov't solutions is all he ever talked about at the absolute expense of self actualization or personal responsibility. Given that, I'm OK with the shiny quarter label.
You do realize that our idiotic country is taking the position that gay marriage is somehow a problem. That's a popular position rooted in nothing but the Bible. This country abused and mistreated black people for hundreds of years under official government laws. I think using popular support as argument against stupidity is, well, kinda stupid.
