again, America agreeing is not any sort of merit badge earner. America's history is littered with absolutely stupid popular positions.

The promise of someone else's stuff at no cost was Obama's message. It was voted for in droves. Call it whatever you want. Droski called it our being enamored with the shiny quarter. That doesn't change the message that Obama preached. Robin Hood sells, especially to stupid and lazy people.

I say it a lot, but we have been duly warned that our republic is in trouble when the populace decides that it will repeatedly vote for the people that will give them the most free stuff. Obama is precisely one of those guys. Gov't solutions is all he ever talked about at the absolute expense of self actualization or personal responsibility. Given that, I'm OK with the shiny quarter label.

You do realize that our idiotic country is taking the position that gay marriage is somehow a problem. That's a popular position rooted in nothing but the Bible. This country abused and mistreated black people for hundreds of years under official government laws. I think using popular support as argument against stupidity is, well, kinda stupid.

I realize you've already forgotten that you didn't want to hear about the Patriot Act, I was simply giving the occupation in Iraq that as an example.

Iraq is an example of fascisim in that it is an occupation with a goal of forcing our ideals on a unwanting nation, covered in propoganda that its actually a war on terriorism. And a small wealthy, connected elite make lots of money off the war too.

agreed and frankly not worth the debate. Neither of us is about to change any minds about either administration. In fact, I wouldn't agree on fascists, but I would definitely agree on failure and unfulfilled expectations.

Tell me what Gay Rights amendments passed yesterday. This is the typical The sky is falling attitude. If you do not vote for this or that or me, then you must be stupid. Is that how you are going to run your campaign in Tennessee because I can do without it. No Vote for me equals your stupid because I am right and you wrong. This is what is a matter with the Republican Party. Your Attitude. Hey, I got news for you the Sky is Falling too.

So it is the Republicans against the world and anything not voted supported by a voter must be stupid or gay or black.

I hate to tell you that some Republicans are stupid, gay and black. But because they may not have voted like you wanted them to then they are stupid. If you do not vote for me then you are stupid. Is that your platform? Lots of luck.

Do you not realize that this attitude is what's killing the Republican party in other parts of the US. You are the reason I started the other Thread. I don't agree with the Dem on 80% of their platform but I do know when a change is needed from within the Republican Party.

Another Clue for you. For the first time in the history of today's Republican Party there is not a single Republican in congress from any of the New England States. Now that is beyond stupid and its a little more serious than name calling or insulting the country.

I realize I am late to the party, but come on. All we had to do to become the greatest country in history was to elect a black man as our president?

I almost found myself agreeing with that same line of thinking last night listening to the talking heads take turns kissing BO's ass.

The idea that simply electing a black man as our president is what makes us the greatest country in the world is exactly what I would expect to hear from a group of people that had just elected such an obamanation as their president.

I certainly hope the best for him and for our country, but he is going exactly the wrong direction.
