North Carolina State has hired Les Robinson and Sidney Lowe in recent history. Mizzou hired Quin Snyder. Georgia Tech gave Paul Hewitt a trillion dollars to lose in the ACC. If that's the folks who like Smart, I'm glad we're moving in the other direction.

You do have to keep in mind what points he's making with those claims. I can't actually help you with that, because I don't understand what "Marshall is the low watermark of BCS jobs" means.

Yes, in the first post hes saying we shouldn't want a coach because GT wants them.

In the 2nd post he's using Tech wanting a coach as evidence of the quality of that coach.

I said the fans should recognize him as someone who coached a hell of a game against us. You said that it sounds like moral victory talk, implying that it doesn't mean much because he didn't win. So presumably, we want coaches who would've won.

Not the point. IE implied UT was at the bottom of the BCS schools looking for a coach if they hired Marshall. I was simply pointing out that UT isn't the only school looking at him. He also turned down the Iowa job last year.

In simple terms -

Just becaust Ga Tech is interested in A doesn't mean we should be.

However, Coach B is a great coach and we better not F around to lose him.

Things can be mutually exclusive.

Alright. So if we don't want coaches of 15 seeds, presumably it's because we want coaches who are better than that. So if they're better, they should have more success. So having more success than a 15 getting within two points of a 2 is someone who would've beaten a 2, had they had a 15. So basically, we want coaches who haven't been in that situation but would've won if they had been. And again, good luck.

So, if we are keeping count and this guy is correct hat is wrong and hypocritical.

I am awaiting emain and tigervols response.
