Tim Tebow: Heisman Winner

dmac, one of the all time greats is gone. his name will never grace the list of winners, but as manning did before him, he will prove his stature as a player of jim brown level ability. tebow, a great player, will be back and perhaps, they can rerun the tape of the show from this year. but, the opportunity to claim mcfadden as one of their alumni is forever gone. they are the greater losers.

What is your case against Tebow? That he plays for Florida? And thinking some team will win doesn't mean you should be forced to root for them.

There are plenty of reasons to say this is a garbage award, but Tebow winning isn't one of them.

You're wrong but that's OK. Florida wins without Tebow... Arkansas doesnt without DMac... plain and simple. If the Heisman is, in essence, the offensive MVP award... what team needs their guy more?

I do think Florida will win. I think it will be 10-14, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got to three touchdowns. UF will be really good next year.

The reason I would say Tebow over McFadden was that Tebow really didn't have any bad games... McFadden was considerably better at times, but there were times where he just had bad games.

Exactly Crew. It came down to the fact that on their biggest stages that year, Woodson shined and Peyton once again did not.

Tebow had over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns, and that was his worst game of the season. McFadden got held under 50 against Auburn, and his game against Tennessee wasn't really special.

2 times that I can remember. But in essence it usually goes to the best offensive player in the country. When guys put up #'s like Tebow & McFadden did this year, you almost have to look at what their value to their team is.

I can certainly understand the argument for McFadden, but with Tebow being the first 20-20 player, he makes a very strong case.
