You aren't wrong. That's much different than him being "allowed" to do it. Sometimes one can self-censor, especially when it comes to gossip and trashing someone's work ethic.

But alas, the damage is done. He can't retract. It is what it is. Now we can just endure a board that went from rejoicing at the miraculous program rebirth, to bitching, crying, moaning and calling for coach jobs. (Not saying it was all King, but he didn't help.)

Part of discussion is critical thinking when it comes to claims, and trying to illustrate what is fact and what is opinion. That's basically what I've done here. I have in no way tried to prevent anyone from posting. I have offered a perspective on what may be beneficial posting. I have highlighted certain claims and offered alternate perspectives on whether those claims were actually what they appeared to be.

Don’t abandon the board man. Don’t let 2 posters with a vendetta against you run you off. Most of us significantly value what you bring. You don’t have to prove yourself. If you leave, the value of this board significantly deteriorates as then it just becomes grandstanding with no useful insight.

Some of our fans for whatever reason need a completely sanitized perspective of the program and cannot handle any discussion of the perceived flaws of either a staff member or the program more broadly.

I am not saying we need to encourage toxicity on this board, I agree that it needs to be toned down, but those who spend significant amounts of time complaining about negativity are almost as bad as the actual “NegaVols” themselves.
