'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee commit)

“Heupel knows QB’s” in one quote but also…

Gmac shares the blame with the team, but you’re crazy if you don’t think he isn’t a great HS QB with over 50 offers to his name…again football is a team sport and the QB is only as good as the team around him

Interesting perspective for an “opinion” though…you do you

I didn’t say he’s not a great QB RECRUIT. I said he wasn’t good Friday. Because he wasn’t. And he was that same way last season. Some of y’all really need to understand scope and learn how to spot an issue.

He’s been offered because of what he can be. That doesn’t mean he is yet.

He clearly sucked Friday. It’s fine for anyone to say that. It was, after all, obvious. Move on.

Has anyone read about GM having a bad game this past Friday Night?
I think that one game is the only bad news anywhere in sight. So it must look like a lush watering hole in dry season, if someone is so inclined.

There's nothing to "figure out" about the game, imo. The season will go on. We'll see what happens. Wish him well.

I vote that we declare this the complain too early thread.

On the off chance that our team doesn't perform exactly as well as we all expect for the first couple of games, we should complain in here.

It doesn't matter that we have a RS Freshman QB and we're replacing production everywhere. That's what spring and fall practice were for.

Blue font if it isn't obvious.

Worked at a mccallie dad’s extravagant lake house. Was told that Gmac can sling it but merk is better qb. Just my two cents. I hope the kid gets his star back and balls out
Merk is a really good QB.

So is Faizon Brandon. A GREAT QB imo.

Not worried about QB from a talent standpoint or coaching.

People are just silly. He had a subpar game. He’s had a few subpar games, but if you’re honest about that all of sudden you’re saying Heupel doesn’t know QBs???

arguing from a child’s viewpoint 🙄.

He wasn’t 5 star that’s for sure.

But he consistently made long outside throws. (Not easy ) For minimal gains. The BA offensive coach is vanilla as hell. Really bad game plan and nobody executed at a high level. WRs. lineman. Or QB.

There’s a lot he needs to work, but his talent is obvious.

Great assessment. He's a good prospect because of his potential. And while he played poorly Friday (and in the other games I've seen), there were moments when we could see that potential. That is what Heupel sees and thinks he can utilize. My concern is his ability to see the field, but, as I said, CJH knows more about developing QBs than I do...so I assume he believes that part can be trained.

We know at every level they’re are busts. That’s OK. It comes with the territory. We also know there are ones that appear they’ll be great and flop or fly and vice versa.

No need to bag on the kid although yes it isn’t looking good right at this moment.

There’s a reason you try to develop depth in recruitment and Josh is doing just that. Based on who we have coming there’s no reason to get bent out of shape for any ONE of them.

We let it play out and see. 🤷🏻‍♂️
