Forgive if I'm not very sympathetic to their plight right now. My issue is with the admin., money people and coaches. They are responsible for the product they present. I've been supporting this show for a long time and I'm to the point where they're going to have to prove to me they are serious about fielding a championship level product.

VQ today: If you’re Ty, doesn’t it just make more sense to pick Alabama?

When even the hometown guys can’t find a good reason to play for this staff, it’s time for regime change

Reminds me a lot of Sam Howell game wise. Taller and slimmer but extends plays, makes throws in the run and has a strong are like Howell. Let’s hope we don’t blow this one like we did with Howell who wanted to be a Vol and Helton thought he was too short.

His heart is here but at some point it becomes a business decision. It works both ways though. How long does Sark stay at Bama? He is going to get an offer at some point that interest him. He is being picky right now. If Sark was at TN this would be over in an instant

I get it to an extent, but that’s such a defeatist attitude coming from VQ. The truth is that we are all frustrated by the apparent lack of progress. But I think it’s clear that Pruitt is going to get another year now. And so, landing a few key players could get this turned around.

While I’m not predicting Pruitt becomes the next Dabo, Dabo was on the ropes early in his tenure and landing some key recruits made all the difference and now Clemson is a juggernaut. Maybe, just maybe, landing Nolen and Simpson and some other guys gets us rocking again.

Simpson here has a chance to make his own legacy. At Bama now, he’d be just another guy and is competing with similarly renowned recruits each year.

No matter my frustrations, I always hope and think that UT is just a class or two away from being good again. And that could be true with Simpson and Nolen and so on.

Honestly, this could very well be true. I wondered all year if Guarantano was so bad at times that he killed the momentum for the whole team and put the team in such bad spots and at a decided disadvantage to the point that we couldn’t tell if the team had improved or not. Just average SEC QB play against UK and Arkansas result in wins. And maybe we get Auburn too. 5-5 or 6-4 feels so much better than 3-7 and it very well could’ve been one of the two former records.

But then they discussed what bringing his dad on staff would look like. VQ doesn't know anymore than we do.

I’ll disagree there. Unlike us they seem to have an actual relationship with the kid. They’ve interviewed him multiple times

UGA was on the OL. KY was all JG. JG killed this program. We had the run game, OL and WRs to be successful. Defense played good enough to win several games we lost. If Shrout doesn’t get pulled at Kay for one bad throw we probably have 2-3 more wins
