'22 TN QB Ty Simpson (Alabama commit)

Hot take

QB isn’t a Position that matters all that much for JH. It’s a Position he will do more with less with anyway.

getting this guy means more for recruiting momentum than it really matters for wins/losses on the field for the QB
I agree. JH can make a lot of guys work and I think we’d be in a good spot for Horn if he chooses football but Ty means more for the other instate recruits.

This offense is a offensive players dream. Why would you not want to play in this offense?
Well, Alabama’s and Clemson’s ain’t exactly terrible. Clemson had the Heisman frontrunning QB, until a virus derailed him and bama had 3 Of the top finalist, one being a QB.
I think Dabo rips out another piece of our big orange hearts, again.
That guy is slowly but surely climbing my list as most hated coach.
GBO!!

Dabo has been pushing for a decision from Ty for the last month. You can also bet that during the interview process Tony Elliot got some feedback straight from Tennessee about the NCAA violations and what type of punishment they expect...and then took that straight to Dabo who is using it to recruit Ty away from Tennessee. Dabo puts on a good act, but he's really good at negative recruiting. Is that enough to overcome Ty's dreams of playing for Tennessee and now having a QB guru for a head coach? Hopefully not.

Maybe with a new coach and the extra patience a new coach is afforded he's decided he can go ahead and commit to us now that he knows who's likely to be his coach for his time in orange.

I'm sure seeing his offense he'll be playing in doesn't hurt either.

You should write a novel- a lot of imagination in there.

I just find it hard to believe that he would just drop us after only recently talking to CJH and not even knowing who the OC is gonna be. I think he's a Vol
I have to agree. Not much else has changed at the other programs and after speaking with JH, along with probably watching film of the offense he runs, Ty felt comfortable and trusted JH decisions going forward with the staff. If you love something, you keep trying to find a way to make it work, even through difficult times. I believe that is what Ty was looking for and finally felt comfortable. Unlike Butch who pushed TL away, JH will seal this one up for the good guys.

Is it ok for me to now hate Clemson as much as Bama, UF, & UGA?

The kid that transferred to Henry County from Martin is better than Ty. Salter is also better. We are fine.

I imagine the turmoil and uncertainty at Tennessee was the final deciding factor and why he’s ready to make the commitment. I hope I’m wrong.

Hahaha. So the back up was better than Ty?
I like Salter, but Ty is a better athlete and has a stronger arm.

Yeah we're fine, because we're going to get Simpson. There hasn't been a TN QB better than Simpson maybe since Ingle Martin out of MBA in the 1990s. so whoever this Henry County QB I'm very doubtful that he's better than either.

Sounds like you have an axe to grind with hin for whatever reason.

Butch didn’t push Lawrence away...his program did that.

No axe here. The kid that transferred is good. He did so to avoid the politics. We would be much better off focusing on Arch Manning or other options. Simpson is good but he is not a Trevor Lawrence talent. It’s not a huge loss.
