'22 TN QB Ty Simpson (Alabama commit)

I wonder if the quote from his dad about looking for what’s best for the “next 40 years” is a good sign for TN. They always talk about great opportunities for instate VFLs.

Side note: I think it would be worth it to sign his dad to the staff as an analyst or something

Isn't the rule that he'd have to be given an on-field position?

They aren’t even same class so don’t know why this was a topic they are discussing anyway. People get wrapped up in its Peytons nephew like TN will be a big factor. He may be his nephew but it’s Coopers boy. Copper is a rebel through and through that saw his playing career end before it got started. People shouldn’t be surprised if the kid takes that into account and lives out his dads legacy at Ole Miss. LSU wouldn’t be suprising either depending on how that offense is years from now.
Sure. Cooper was such a rebel that he went to his dad's school. Peyton was the rebel. He went elsewhere.

I think you meant, "Cooper is a Rebel..."

He could have committed to Bama anytime he wanted too.

The fact he’s been looking for any reason to not go to Tennessee, makes me think he’s ready to commit and start recruiting these in state players.

JH sold him on being the face of Tennessee and building a family environment.

His offense puts up points so no doubt he’ll put him in the best position to win.

That’s a sunny story and I really hope you’re right but my money is on Clemson or Bama.

I felt like he gave the Vols time to show their hand and when Weinke got canned it sealed our fate. I hope im wrong.

Unfortunately, this seems to line up best with the timeline. I think he tweeted out his commitment date just a day or so after it was announced officially Chris W. was fired.

I know that the biggest factor in recruiting are relationships...coaches and prospects say it over and over and over again...its an even bigger factor than winning and the NFL...nine times out of ten, relationships win out...and, this kid may have the greatest relationship in the history of relationships with Weinke; BUT!!!...if this kid was sold on Weinke, and that turned off to Huepel, well...hold on, im trying to wrap my head around that, to even try and make a point...

If this kid was sold on and that close to Weinke, and turned off by Heupel...let him go to Bama. Go get Horn, or ANYBODY else.
