'19 TN RB Eric Gray

One because he's the best RB in Tennessee this class. Goes to a small private school but he has carried his team to two straight victories over Whitehaven, who's also a 6A school and who's full of talent with the likes of: Keon Mullins 4⭐️(SCe), McBride 3⭐️(UT), Cormontae Hamilton 3⭐️ (OSU), and Devin Boddie 3⭐️ (Vandy).

Is it possible he doesn't fit what we want to do on offense?

Tim Jordan was 5’11” 187lbs as a senior per 247. Listed as 5’11” 196lbs on the UT bio.
University of Tennessee Athletics

Eric Gray is 5’10” 191lbs per 247.

By a sophomore he could be over 200lbs.

I don’t get the narrative that we only want 6’2” 230lbs backs.

And before you reply that Tim Jordan was a butch recruit, remember how hard we tried to land Greg Bell in Pruitt’s first cycle, and he’s only 200lbs himself. And he was 185 as a senior.

I don't think Pruitt wants every back to be this big power back. He wants most of them to be and sprinkle in guys like Chandler. You need breakaway guys. So I think him telling everyone he needs big backs gets misinterpreted as it's all he wants because he showed up and didn't have any big backs. So that's his focus.

I hope we end up getting gray

Callahan said last night he's 185, but he's an awfully good player. FWIW Jordan said in one of his interviews he is 207, but you know many of these guys drop weight during the season - but Jordan has like 2% body fat....

We are still after him as are Bama, OU and Ole Miss. Visiting Ole Miss this weekend, will be at UT next weekend. I'm not entirely sure he sticks with Michigan.

My gosh that weekend is gonna be a HUGE recruiting weekend. So many big timers coming for it. I really hope we win and look good doing it. I can't wait to see the final list of visitors.
