I'd like to know this story too. I wonder if Gillespie pushed to offer the guy when Pruitt took the job or if Pruitt already had him in mind.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it was most likely a combination of already being on both Coach G's and Coach P's radar. Even if a position coach and/or area recruiter likes a guy the head coach has the final say so in who gets offered.

Feels really good to follow/look forward to recruiting again. Really hope we get a boom from Banks this weekend

Judging by his offer list, he's flying way under the radar.

Jeremy Banks 6-2 216 ran for 1,941 yds. this year. He averaged 9.8 yards per carry and 194 Yards per game. He has great moves at the point of contact, he’s powerful, has very good speed and will flat Truck people who take him on.

Is offer list doesn't match up with being a 4 star or is Rivals just not showing recent offers that are better?

EDIT: Noticed he is a 3 star on 247.

Already 215. If he gains weight in college, which he most likely will, he could probably be used at the same time as a smaller quicker back like Chandler. Noticed he wasn't afraid to lay a block if he has to. I read somewhere we could use two backs at the same time, both with the ability to be a primary runner.

I would be willing to bet Chandler will be up to Damien Harris size (5’11 210) by next season. Having your choice of JK (if he stays), Chandler, Tim Jordan, Carlin and Banks behind Trey Smith, Richmond, Carvin and a few of these big Juco OL guys would be a nice change. Whew

Prototypical I-back for our new offense

Out with cute, in with power

Need big guys with speed to pound the rock and to line up in I or offset to make holes in a big package

I, for one, am excited to see it return to the Hill

Absolutely, a different brand of football that breeds toughness, something Butch Jones severely lacked:hi:
