Posted on TOS that ESPN reporting that the restraining order has been dropped. Apparently the accuser failed to show in court, so it has been dismissed.

She sounds like a real piece of work. What a flake...

If things have been sent to the lab, like the article states, this is ongoing.

So he raped her and then sent her a text later saying she left her camera in his room. Oh yeah, sounds like a rapist. I've never raped anyone but I'm thinking sending her a text and crossing paths with her again would be the last thing I would want to do if I had raped someone. Not to mention, if I was a big enough scumbag to rape a chick.... I would probably keep the camera.

Sounds like a drunk chick that just forgot that she was all over him the night before. If I am wrong, I apologize because rape is not acceptable or something to be taken lightly.

This is a very sensitive subject that Tennessee can't really afford to mess with, IMO.

True or not we need to stay far away from this guy.

Can you link the article? Did I miss it somewhere in this thread?

She woke up and "suspected" she had been raped? Does she remember anything that happened? I don't know all the facts either but this doesn't sound very solid. I wonder if this is the same girl that is the daughter of the booster.

Why would we need to stay away from if it isn't true? If Vick can piss away 200 million dollars worth of contracts because he wanted to kill animals, illegally gamble etc. and still get a second chance to make more in one year than most people make in six.... this kid shouldn't be screwed out of an education.

ok well that story is irresponsible. It carries no details on any possible evidence to support a claim of rape. This young mans reputation could be irreparably besmirched based on rumor and conjecture. Or a young lady could be permanently scared emotionally and mentally and all anyone can do is whip up a paragraph or so accusing a man of a vile disturbing act. This transcends football and is again....irresponsible.

It is what it is. The kid chose Okie state, has had some run ins, now he's running home. Why leave if you are going to start for one of the most powerful offenses in NCAA and you did nothing wrong? He may very well be innocent, but if it were me, and I was innocent, I'm playing against GA this Saturday.

There is a story on this. Based on what I've heard it seems obvious the rape accusations only came to light when this girls rich big booster father found out she was sleeping with a black man. The coaching staff at Oklahoma State knows the true story behind this and that is why they are doing all they can to help Jamal go where he wants.

There is no evidence because he didn't rape her. At least that is the common theme being told among the Oklahoma State fans.

That has nothing to do with the irresponsibility of the writers and editors involved with publishing this article.

Gut maggots will be gut maggots. When the judge unsealed this he made it public record. This is what reporters do. He's keeping the story alive by transferring from Okie State, as a starter.

Ok, I will preface this by saying that all I know about this story is what's been published in the newspaper articles and online, and that only the people involved know what really happened that night. Having said that, since when does getting tanked and sleeping with a guy constitute rape? Hell, she can't even remember what happened! How can you accuse someone of rape if you don't remember what transpired? And no, waking up the next morning and regretting having done something stupid because you had no intentions of sleeping with the guy when you were sober does not rise to the level of rape. If she said no, and remembers saying no, fine, dude is a scumbag. Otherwise, I'm not sure a crime was committed here. Guess we'll wait and see.

If he is exonerated I have no problem letting the guy come here after he is exonerated, but would be irresponsible until we have more info. Especially with the Hood story, we don't want to get that reputation.

I hear what your saying. But I wouldnt blame a young man trying to do the right thing for the actions of reporters who make more news than they report.
