Toney Williams

They have a good O-Line and the real test will be against Roswell and Walton (Both are 5-0).

Roswell is Miltons biggest rivalry and is a home game. Roswell also won (Acutally, they shared it with Peachtree Ridge because of a tie in the Championship game) the AAAAA state championship 2 years ago.

Typically, the region winner normally advances pretty deep into the state playoffs.

Again, if you look at the other posts (I am also MiltonDawg) you will see that he split time equally last year with a 2 year starter and combined they racked up I think 2200 yards.

Another thing to consider is that they switched from a spread offense last year to a traditional I-formation this year. Read into that what you will, but seems to be pretty impressive to me. BTW - Centennial is very up and down from year to year but they have been plagued by a rash of injuries to key starters this year. also, regardless of the strength of the schedule, Milton has not WON a playoff game since the 1950's.

Just a friendly bit of info. Also was sporting a UT hat in his Alfa Insurance player of the week video.

The region is not "the powerhouse" region in the state, but is top classification and typically sends one or two teams to the quarterfinals and further in the playoffs.

Centennial has a DE that UT is looking to offer (can't remember his name). Fast, undersized (225) kid that is typical of our DE recruits. Lots of athletes in the region, but usually not overly big. It's not a big surprise a RB Williams' size is having a lot of success. LBs usually range from 185-215.

You can watch an interview with Toney Williams on High 5 Sports

He's having a great year---the video includes hilights of Toney in action.

You can also find video of him by accessing Milton High School highlights on our featured videos on the homepage.

:good!:

Topper-
I don't see Roswell on the schedule. Is Roswell under another name? Did you mean they will play Roswell in the playoffs? I work in Alpharetta and I'd like to see him play again. Here is the remaining schedule:

Friday Oct. 03 @ Stoughton High School Stoughton High School 7:00PM
Friday Oct. 10 @ Oregon High School Oregon High School 7:00PM
Friday Oct. 17 Portage High School HOMECOMING 7:00PM

Playoffs
Tuesday Oct. 28 @ TBA LEVEL 1 TBA
Saturday Nov. 01 @ TBA LEVEL 2 TBA
Friday Nov. 07 @ TBA LEVEL 3 TBA
Saturday Nov. 08 @ TBA LEVEL 3 TBA
Friday Nov. 14 @ TBA LEVEL 4 TBA
Saturday Nov. 15 @ TBA LEVEL 4 TBA
Thursday Nov. 20 @ TBA STATE FINALS TBA
Friday Nov. 21 @ TBA STATE FINALS TBA

There are three more games after the ones listed above. Milton plays Roswell on 10/24.

Now that I look at it, those three HS aren't even in GA. Wrong link/schedule.

Try the AJC sports section for HS sports. Only because that schedule may be right, but the info on it is a little off. Roswell is 3-2, not undefeated.

Halfway through the regular season, Williams has rushed for 1,142 yards and 17 touchdowns.

He says his commitment to Tennessee in May is rock solid. When asked if the USC's and UGA's would sway his committment he said:
“Oh no, no, no…” he said.

I really like this dudes committment to the vols. It don't matter who the coach is when you are a bulldozer like he is. We will get him the ball and he knows that.

I am corrected. I forgot about the loss to Tift County and assumed they came back to beat Kellm at least I thought that happened, never bothered to look. You know what they say about assuming.

Milton lost to # 5 walton 24-20

Toney Williams 144 yards on 29 carries.

Had one rushing TD and one Passing TD.

The UT coaches were there to watch him and the punter for Walton the Milton opponent.

On a side note that I picked up on in the AJC, Caldwell and Scott were at the game for someone other than Williams. Apparently UT is after the P/PK from Walton. They have already talked about an offer and they may have been sent there to go ahead and wrap this kid up. Brady Biggars I believe is the kid's name.

Can you guys really not see that there is already a thread for this guy? You don't need to create a new one everytime.

No offense, but where is the thread about our new P/PK?
Williams I have posted about in the other thread, but if people want info I will give it to them. Hence the point of a message board. Thanks for keeping an eye though.:hi:
