Tracking Saban's Replacement Thread

Anybody know the title of the thread where one of our own called it back in the fall about Saban retiring?

Low just said Norvell or DeBoer from UW.
I'm in agreement with most others...DeBoar makes zero sense other than the pay jump he gets for taking the job.

Has spent exactly ZERO time coaching anywhere around any of the SEC footprint...he'll furtherest south he's been is one year at Indiana.

Also, all.the teams he's coached I don't see a ton of players from the South so not sure how he would recruit...DeBoer would not fit well at Bama.

Correct, but you’re also describing Nick Saban when he was hired at LSU and urban when he was hired at Florida. Neither of those guys had any connection whatsoever to the south or the SEC. Good coaches will find a way to be successful no matter where they coach.

I feel safe saying Saban and Meyer are a cut above good coaches. Great coaches CAN coach anywhere.

The problem is: you can commonly count the great living college coaches on one hand and let your thumb and pinky sleep in.
