Actually I think that will make Bama to eliminate Norvell. Even Bama won't hire a coach whose got his current team under investigation with the NCAA.

LSU and Florida are two different beasts when it comes to the ease in which you take over a job. The cupboard isn’t bare in the state, and you can rebuild relying on instate talent, but Bama doesn’t produce talent at a level anywhere near what Louisiana and Florida produce, and Bama has to go head to head with Florida.

When Saban was hired at LSU, their program was in such terrible shape but they still had a talented roster.

At Florida, Ron Zook was bad, but he was an elite recruiter and Urban took over a team that was in prime position to make a title run with the level of talent.

Let's talk dollars. How much money we thinking they pay and what kind if terms? I bet if it is DeBoer or Norvell they get a Jimbo level stupid deal.

I doubt it. It will be a significant raise but not Jimbo money.

Correct and he's not getting a $75 or $95 million fully guaranteed contract if he takes that job. I can see DeBoer getting a 5 year 8-9 mil per but Washington can match that. Norvel makes 7-8 mil now so it would take 9-10 to get him and FSU would match/beat that.

Not sure why people are *****ing on Dabo. He's easily in the running for best coach in the country now that Saban has retired.

That being said, I highly doubt there is interest there from either side. The expectations are unrealistic and his personality likely doesn't mesh well with the Bama donors, who like to meddle with coordinator changes and such.

I really think it goes beyond him. With Saban having an office there to oversee things, they can't overlook Lane banging a boosters wife and Saban's daughter. I may be wrong, but I just can't see it happening.
