No stadium can equalize the pressure of the New York media, fanbase, etc.

My post was called sarcasm.

TB has reportedly been interested in Rasmus before and is willing to give up one of their plethora of arms for him.

It would be best for those of us who think Tampa Bay should be contracted. That deal would be proof positive they are nothing more than a transfer point and not a legit MLB franchise.

An official of a team that checked in on Ubaldo Jimenez told Jayson Stark of ESPN.com that the Rockies "never had serious intent" to deal him.
It's reminiscent of how Diamondbacks' GM Kevin Towers dangled Justin Upton in trade talks over the winter. The Rockies were simply wondering if someone would step up and severely overpay. It's the only way they'd realistically deal Jimenez, who has a very reasonable contract that could keep him with the club through 2014.

Ubaldo had a good start last night

With his last start against them being the exception, Ubaldo usually shuts down the anemic Braves offense. I just can't see Ubaldo being anything higher than a #3 guy for any team with decent pitching.

Multiple sources says Braves are "close" to acquiring a RH bat. The early name is Hunter Pence.

Also, the Braves are interested in acquiring Jonny Gomes to be the RH OF bench bat.
