Transfer Portal Thread

His numbers are pretty damn good. Not really sure about his role. This year his 3pt % was way down. Seems like this year was much more of a slasher type. But can he play point? Doesn’t look like it
He was a PG in high school. He has the court vision and ballhandling to be a PG. I think his issue in college as a PG is a lack of quickness to get by defenders off the bounce. He can play PG to get us into an offense but he is not a playmaker PG.

Grady is not a PG. He is more of a scorer. Granted, at this time, they don't know if Mintz is returning. The article that I read still suggested that UK has some questions at PG even with a true freshman and Askew returning. The two UK commits at forward are 6'9", 205, and 6'6", 210. I wouldn't say that is the same as Tshiebwe at 6'9", 260.

I think bto's suggestion that you aren't going to find a high level transfer at PG with Chandler coming is correct. Now, you should be able to find a 2 or combo guard who might play a little point when Chandler sits.
Tshiebwe tested draft waters and got lazy. Huggins called him out and the rest is history. Kid is big and pretty good at times but he does stupid fouls and has no range. I will be interested to see how this marriage works out.

Parker Stewart staying at Indiana.
Kid just wanted some attention. Wanted to feel some love and enjoy being "recruited" again. Lucky that Indiana didn't pull the trigger and give his slot to someone else. Got a feeling there will be several left without a chair to sit in when the music stops.

Wasn’t the case at all...Indiana retained his recruiter so he stayed.

Yes, good point about him still being a freshman and facing some good defenses! I would've loved to see him be able to play more alongside Cooper and see how that worked out, but alas.

How serious is his injury, anyway? Is it something that could affect him wherever he transfers next?

Concussion apparently, he probably chose to sit out because Auburn wasn’t playing for anything this season more than anything lingering.

They umm just fired & hired a new HC too, probably was concerned about the new HC being a good fit.

Where do you find this? Or is it behing a pay wall?
Bart Torvik. Started out as a Ken Pom knockoff. But he likes to experiment w different kinds of analytics and he’s becoming kind of renowned for it. However his sausage maker is really just for fun. He looks at historically similar players and how they do in subsequent years and then optimize the lineups based on ratings, position, and minutes then get a net rating for the team. The obvious disclaimer here is that while it puts us 4th it doesn’t consider who other teams around us might still add and w the transfer market being so crazy it will be pretty volatile. However you can take that Pythag rating and compare to the current or prior years and see it’s generally a top 10 rating.
