Jmo, the question is not a dumb one. I don't think Barnes is on their radar due to age and extent of success over the last few years.
I'd say maybe it's a different story if he was averaging close to a S16 run per season, maybe they would go for him. But if that were the case, no way UT would be outbidded. I don't think even the UT Athletic Department would mess that up.This. Barnes is a few years from retirement. They aren’t bringing in someone old. I guarantee they want their next coach to be someone that will be there for 10-15 years if possible.
But I thought high level transfers wanted to come into lots of guaranteed playing time with no competition....

Would think he’s pretty familiar with Grant Williams with their hometowns being 1 hour apart, and their size and games are pretty similar...I would think if you throw on the tape of what you did with GW and how you used him, show him who his PG is going to be, and simply put show him your starting 4 man in Yves Pons just left that you’ve got a pretty good shot at him.This will be our post transfer, imo
