The audio recorded claim made by Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, has not been independently corroborated. John Kerry has vehemently denied Zarif's claim. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has suggested being cautious with Zarif's account with the following statement:Quick to judge questionable reporting without the first damn clue.
Woefully willing to believe the first thing that might support predispositions. Bowing to the narrative
"I don't know if we should trust that tape or not. If it's true, it's very damaging. I like John Kerry, but that would not be helpful and it would be very problematic if it were true. But let's wait and see how authentic this is." - Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
It is also important to determine when John Kerry would have made this reveal to Javad Zarif. These Israeli operations, which Kerry allegedly disclosed to Zarif, were publicly reported by Israel itself in 2018.
Finally, in 2017, it was also reported (by the New York Times - who is also responsible for this report about Kerry) that President Donald Trump had discussed sensitive Israeli intelligence information during an Oval Office meeting with top Russian officials (Lavrov and Kislyak). Republicans in Congress at the time, never expressed any concerns with whether or not those reports were accurate... and the matter was quickly forgotten.
