I don't think it is beneficial to play politics right in the middle of the pandemic. You?You don’t think it’s beneficial to have transparency, itemization, and a timeline about actions (or lack thereof) taken in the prevention of a pandemic? Especially since another one is inevitable. Never heard of an after-action review?
I think a partisan congressional investigation will be a huge waste of time and money. There would be zero transparency, itemization or accounting of actions.
You just don’t want the questions to be asked because you know you won’t like the answers. I guess we should just never self-reflect and improve processes ever again because it might hurt someone’s feelings.
Fine but congress is not the body to investigate it.
1. It will be 100% political
2. It will be 100% political
3. They are not qualified
4. It will be 100% political
Set up an independent commission of professionals from varying fields and give them subpoena power. Something similar to a grand jury with a well defined and narrow scope.
WASHINGTON – The White House is blocking epidemic expert Anthony Fauci from testifying before a congressional committee next week, less than two months after Fauci critiqued the nation's coronavirus testing system during a public hearing.
Trump team blocks Anthony Fauci from testifying before Congress
Lol!
"Silence him! We can't let him speak about how badly this administration effed this one up!"
Nobody is holding a gun to your willfully ignorant head. I'm all for accountability when it isn't cloaked in a political sideshow.Yeah, you have to establish a timeline. A lot you act like you don’t know what accountability is. This willful ignorance is taking away from my recruiting forum browsing.
I don't think that he needs to be brought before congress for political reasons while he is in the middle of the pandemic. Let him finish his work then put him up there to say whatever it is that you seem to think he will say. You’re argument is that he’s too busy to answer questions honestly, is that it?

Maxine Waters, really?
OBTW, read the timeline of Dr. Fauci's statements regarding his concerns about CV-19 starting in late January all the way up to March 24th. There's a post not too far back. . . it includes his testimony in front of a House Oversight Committee March 11 and 12.
