Trump at least 99 percent sure to run: good or bad for nation, GOP?

When was the last time you voted for a presidential candidate you really thought was ideal?

When was the last time you voted against a presidential candidate you thought was bad?

It is much easier for politicians to make the case the other candidate is the wrong choice than make a case why they are the best choice.

No I don’t want Trump to run again but when Nov 2024 comes around and if it’s Trump vs some idiot like Biden or Harris and they’re playing games not even letting a 3rd party candidate get on the debate stage again then I’ll vote Trump once on Election Day, twice in early voting, and ten times by mail in ballot.

Can we please get ranked choice voting now FFS?!

I hope the Pubs don't run Trump again, and I hope Trump doesn't try to run as an independent. It's hard for me to imagine the Dems winning the next election unless Trump runs as an independent and splits the vote. Trump needs to stay out, and the Pubs need to run a decent candidate.

If the leg-humpers could lose their Trump fixation, Nikki Haley could cake walk her way to the presidency (assuming Kamala is the Dem nominee)
Holy hell, I agree with EL.

And the Pubs could be responsible for the first elected female President. I say elected because I'm not convinced Biden finishes this term.

My dude, average gas prices never came close to 2.00/gallon in the past 5 years.

Average was 2.25... in 2016.

We were under $2.00 here last summer. No I don’t expect to see that again based on what caused it.

Don’t read too much into the number anyway. It would just be a campaign promise we all know would never come to fruition.

Damn, another citation from the spelling police.

No citation here, I extremely seldom ever harp on grammar, but your content and substance is so often absurd, and then you lobbed up that low hanging fruit, eh ... you served it up and in a moment of weakness I took a rip. Color me a opportunist. Carry on !

I pass by a house every day on the way to work that has a TRUMP WON" flag hanging on the porch wall, with a life size cardboard cutout of Trump by the front door and a large cross on the porch.

Categorically, it is a cult. Whether he wants it to be or not, it is.

If it comes down to Trump and whoever the Dems trot out, I will vote Trump.

Having said that, I think he did what he was intended to do. Now, the next step must follow. A proper, and improved iteration must come forth. DeSantis was headed the right way. Not sure if he has maintained his path or went loony. The Miami Mayor is self-emerging, throwing some hints out. Know nothing about him. But, I am open to a centrist with Displayable leadership, potential, and maturity (in the head). I just don't see the D's trotting out a centrist. There has to be some good ones in hiding on either side, somewhere. Maybe?

I know we got down in the $1.75 range. With a brief dip around $1.68.

They both make me want to barf, but he'd trounce her.

Should ... but, no he wouldn’t. This country just elected the biggest scumbag imbecile in its history, I have no illusion that it would be any different in another go around. If the joke that occupies the White House now can get elected, then all bets are off. Never underestimate the stupidity of the spoon fed masses.

It is much easier for politicians to make the case the other candidate is the wrong choice than make a case why they are the best choice.

This is why we need to be able to vote "NO" for candidates. Perhaps if we could reject them all instead of voting for the least offensive, we'd make progress in getting better candidates. Of course, there is a huge drawback to adding another choice ... we already have enough problems simply counting what we have and not getting negative vote swings.
