Trump on Outkick this morning

I know exactly how science works..... it is opinions based on facts or observations, or facts that we have currently.... it is why different scientists can come up with different conclusions from the same observations/facts and also why those opinions change so much.... Personal biases can come in to play with this as well) not talking about Fauci)..... About Fauci..... what has he added or instructed that hasn’t been around 100 years....

I was monitoring and worried about this disease since well before Christmas.... it’s a shame that we have the CDC and WHO whose main purpose is diseases such as this and they were as Ill prepared for this as they were...

I think if you delve a little deeper you will find that the Trump administration is one of the primary reasons we were not prepared.

And BTW, you still have no idea how science works.

Ok explain it

Fauci and the other aged, long tenured federal beauracrats did what these people always do. Nothing for years on end and then when the rare time that a problem arises that actually has to do with the reason they exist, they fail.

Which part? The scientific method or how the Trump administration bungled the coronavirus response prior to it ever beginning?
Scientific method is what I was talking about.... what trump did or didn’t is debatable but the WHO and CDC didn’t do a very good job understanding the virus before the first case in the US or the rest of the world for that matter

Opinions (hypothesis) for the set of observable facts must be tested and either proven or disproven. Opinions change as they are proven and disproven. It is especially messy with regard to something like this that nobody has ever seen before.

I know what a hypothesis is and the definition is a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.....

That’s basically why I call it an opinion.... each scientist looks at the limited evidence and gives a proposed explanation( opinion)..... These proposed explanations can be biased based on political or cultural beliefs..... They can also be swayed for financial reasons(funding).

I love science and especially love topics that interest me..... As an example.... one time on I Was excited about watching a tv program where the leader in this persons field claimed he had proven that fish had walked out of the sea centuries ago.... He claimed he was going to show evidence of his findings. The majority of the show was literally mock models demonstrating what the fish looked like and how it maneuvered out the sea..... His evidence was a fossil he had found that had two really small points near where arms would be.... That was the entirety of his evidence.... I felt sorry for the guy bc you could tell that he wanted it to be true.

Why all the hate on Fauci for changing his mind or even just his rationale on masks?

That's what scientists do when the facts change. Its what normal people do when the facts change. Only an egomaniacal lunatic would insist on his outdated point of view for political gain at the expense of American lives.

That's because the school system(s) that administered your K-12 education failed you, and as a result you are an adult who doesn't understand the relatively basic concepts of 'scientific hypothesis','scientific fact', 'scientific law','scientific theory', and how they relate to one another.

Does the word TASS ring a bell?

Trump: Dr. Fauci briefing? Nope! Give them Dr. Oddsmaker instead.
FWIW, a buddy of mine who is an allergist/internal medicine doc. knows Faucci personally and says Faucci has not treated a patient in almost 40 years and doesn't know shite except what other people feed him. My friend lives on an island, has multiple vacation homes, and a Ferrari so I assume he's a pretty good doctor.

This isn't new. This is simply a realization that full control is available using basic scare tactics.

They weren't going to suggest masks, but then they realized, "Jackpot! We can tell people to wear masks, and then they will, and that gives us a ton of power because of...?"
