The first link didn't parse as fine.
I'm not trying to downplay domestic violence (higher rates heavily linked linked to alcoholism,..cough ..cough Anchorage) but the first list relied too heavily on domestic incidents spiking the numbers.

It's a little disingenuous(or maybe a misnomer would be more apt) to rely on domestic incidents while compiling most dangerous city lists. Most people perceive "most dangerous" to imply your chance of being a victim outside your home.

Well even though statistically, especially in small indigenous villages in Alaska with a couple of hundred people and like 10 police officers, domestic violence and alcohol abuse and bar fights make up the majority of that violence.

But it still doesn't make it as dangerous as the South Side of Chicago, or Watts, or downtown Memphis or St. Louis, etc.

The crimes you pay attention to for TRUE "how safe is this city" is robbery, rape, carjacking, burglaries, aggravated assaults (including gang violence), murders. Where you have those crimes the most, are the most violent areas in the country.

It'll be interesting to see what is quibbled here. He seemed intent to tie the violence to gov't leadership since he listed that they are red states. Makes for a pretty smelly shoe when it turns out the cities you listed are predominantly democrat cities.
