I will only speak for myself, but this is wrong.
Even before he became heavily involved in politics (around 2011, while questioning where Obama was born), I would have told you that I did not like him just based on his personality.
He is egotistical to an extreme... even narcissistic, without much sense of self-awareness. He boasts about everything. Lesley Stahl tells him that he isn't known for humility, so then he even boasts about how humble he is.
He is very dishonest. He has lied about how much money he actually inherited from his father. He has made it seem that he was more "self-made" than was actually the case. He has exaggerated how prosperous his golf properties are, and he has even lied about how much money he has donated to charity organizations. He has frequently boasted of having donated to 9/11 charities, even though none of them have a record of a single donation ever being made by Donald Trump.
That is Trump in a nutshell. It's all about his ego. It's all about him. The truth is not important.
These are not traits that most people find appealing. If you really want to know why Trump lost the 2020 Presidential Election, you won't find it by looking for voter fraud, you will find it by examining his personality, and how independent voters respond to it.
