Trump to sign national security funding bill, then declare State of Emergency

My doctor says some of her patients have a hard time simply following her prescription instructions, or answering questions about drugs they are taking.

But I'm sure they could figure it out with a little more googling.

How many times have you went to the doctor knowing you had the flu?

How many millions are wasted in doctors visits to renew maintenance meds?

How many times have you waited in a crowded hospital knowing half of them were just there for pain pills? Why not save yourself some time by clearing them out?

And ultimately, if someone does want to make a poor decision, why is it any of your business?

we do it every day. I vote we let vol8188 prescribe himself meds and see what happens, he'll be the test case. And when they bring him foaming at the mouth and being bagged to the ED for resp failure we can have this argument.

You’ve already agreed the demand will be met.
So what’s your angle? You just like wasting money? Job security?

No, of course not. But there are plenty of people who would abuse opiates if more available.

I honestly think you must be trolling at this point, so I'll leave you to your nonsense.

He's not trolling exactly. 8188 is perfectly reasonable on some subjects, and completely off the rails on others. He generally doesn't seem to think that anybody should be subject to any type of adult supervision; when that comes up, it usually gets weird. Restrictions on personal property and national borders are other hot topics with him if I recall properly ... his borders are sacred ... jurisdictional borders not so much. Don't argue those things with him ... it's just not worth your sanity.

Aren't there countries where for years consumers are allowed to purchase meds without a Dr's authorization? Those countries should be the proof one way or the other in this debate.

Seems I recall buying a mega bottle of codeine and aspirin in Canada. That lasted me like 5 years or more. Really knocks out a headache.

So there's that.

I believe codeine is still OTC in the UK

I believe in “jurisdictional borders” but beyond I don’t believe those should be used to regulate immigration. It’s not a power given to the federal government. Any federal regulation on immigration is unconstitutional.

And yes, private property rights are the foundation of capitalism, so I would call them sacred. Private property and personal autonomy. That’s what created a functioning society.

Buncha smarty pants up in herr.

Still, i think many meds are directly purchased from pharmacies in some countries.

I'm wondering what your angle is, you mentioned opana. That's a chronic pain medicine with a troubled history.

Nice deflection. Lol I love it. This is like the “if you support gay marriage, you’re gay” argument.

So what’s your angle. You agree demand will be met. So why try?

Yes also Mexico has meds for 5 times less than here, they take American prescriptions.

Codeine can be bought in many and it turns into morphine. Yet, none of those countries are over ran with opiate addicts due to codeine

I wasn't aware i had an angle. The number of etoh overdoses i see is zero, the numbers of opioid overdoses i see is 3 to 5 a week.

So you agree they are getting the opiates? Then what’s your angle?

Does wasting tax payer money make you happy?

Is it job security?

Is it just pure arrogance?

I think you can buy a lot of the normal antibiotics OTC in Mexico.

I do think our drug market is way over-regulated in some aspects.

So many jumps and leaps in one post.
Let's take them one by one.
Yes, both legal opioids and illegal opioids are being obtained.

My angle is 45° on the couch. One broken neck, two busted discs, broken nose x2, nursing because i didn't want others to have the same crappy experiences i did while hospitalized,

I am the taxpayer who cancels unnecessary testing, cuts expense on pts bills where i can and question doctors regularly.

I've had job security since i was 15 and that didn't include nursing.

Yes, I'm terribly arrogant.

Now let's do you!!!!

?? Codeine magically turns into morphine? That's a new one

The body converts codeine to morphine. Next time you decide to be so arrogant, it would be nice if you could also be correct.
