TrumPutinGate

The point of the article is that Nunes intentionally misrepresented the contents of the documents to imply illegal activity. It was an orchestrated attempt to misinform the public in order to benefit Trump.

The Dems have consistently been misrepresenting the "evidence" about Trump and collusion. Where's the article about that?

It is an orchestrated attempt to misinform the public to hurt Trump.

KremlinGate and the Limits of Classified Evidence

The FBI’s been investigating possible links between the Kremlin and President Trump for nearly a year—here’s why it’s moving so slowly
http://observer.com/2017/04/kremlingate-and-the-limits-of-classified-evidence/

Interesting paragraph

The Times doesn’t indicate what that urgent new intelligence was, but members of the Intelligence Community with access to that evidence have told me there are several top-secret reports—mainly, but not exclusively, signals intelligence from NSA—demonstrating links between Team Trump and top Kremlin officials, hinting at collusion with Moscow during last year’s election. Although none of these reports individually is conclusive—there is no “smoking gun” as Beltway wonks like to say—taken together they lead to the disturbing finding that Trump’s campaign was in cahoots with Moscow to hurt Hillary Clinton. That the IC knew much of this last summer invites disturbing questions about the Obama administration’s puzzling inaction last fall, in the weeks leading to the election.

1. This guy has special access to officials in the know and they are leaking it to him?

2. Interesting conclusion - no smoking gun, "hints" of collusion but then they prove collusion? Seriously. This guy hasn't seen any of this information and he's making a statement of fact that collusion occurred. Of course there is not even a speculation as to what collusion or "cahoots" in this situation means.

The rest of the article is a history lesson. It's an interesting premise too because it sets the stage for no finding since the argument is that classified information cannot be used. Sounds like it's setting up the excuse so they can argue that while there was no finding there was really evidence we just can't tell you what that evidence is.

I'm sure it will come as no shock to you, but that's not the way I see it, nor many in congress and the intelligence community.

You believe that Dems are not misrepresenting anything here and that they are sticking directly to facts only in what they allege?

You know some Dem mouthpieces have suggested (repeatedly) that the CE attack was a plan devised between Putin and Trump to take the heat off?

John Schindler was a NSA intelligence analyst and a counterintelligence officer. He has access to people they most don't. And so far his sources have all been right

I think there are far to many people on both sides just looking for anything that can be twisted into political gain. I just think the democrats have much better ammunition and republicans are more willing to "distort" the truth. Guilt on both sides, just more heavily on one.

Guiliani had sources inside the FBI...

Let's just say that when a guy who's not an investigative reporter and who doesn't even quote anonymous sources puts out a piece that says his sources are telling him there's no smoking gun but the evidence clearly shows collusion I'm going to be skeptical of the veracity of his claims.

of course

those suggestions the CE attacks were planned to give Trump and opportunity to do missile strikes as a wag the dog are not distortions at all...

It sounds more like a conspiracy theory. I'm not sure what facts they're distorting or fabricating to back up their claim. The issue I have (from whichever side it comes) is when people knowingly distort and fabricate facts in an effort to promote false conclusions. I think the right is the guiltier party.

Sounds like he and his cohorts need to be under investigation.
