TrumPutinGate

Whatever you'd like to call it, the whole document is meant to protect people's rights against the tyranny of a central government and simple mob rule.

That's true, but we're talking about two different things. When electing a representative, each man's vote counts the same. That's still a REPRESENTATIVE democracy. Having people's votes weighted differently due to where they live is an entirely different issue.

Michael Flynn will decline the Senate Intel committee subpoena. He will invoke the 5th Amendment later today.

Lots of talk about reconsidering immunity to get his testimony this morning. Potential for "bigger fish" outweighs getting nothing from him at all.

They'll probably get enough evidence on him without his cooperation to get an indictment. Then they'll likely offer up immunity for testimony. The thing I'm wondering does Flynn fall on his sword for Trump?

The second thing I'm wondering has Trump told him not to worry and not say anything? There's a pardon down the road for you.

Maybe. SSCI seems to think they have a strong case against him already. I am under the very strong assumption that he is going to wind up in jail over this, but only him.

Either the FBI will prosecute him for being a foreign agent or the army will recall him to active duty and court martial him for violating the Emolument clause.

The question is whether Flynn would testify that he was colluding with the Russians, and Trump knew that he was. If that is what his lawyer represents he would say, then I would think that immunity would be offered.

Off topic but Trump's hair really likes like dead grass when he is outside and the wind is blowing. What is going on with that mess?

During the 2016 campaign, Trump blasted aides to Hillary Clinton for taking the Fifth Amendment in relation to the investigation of her use of a private email server while secretary of state. He said at a September Iowa rally: "So there are five people taking the Fifth Amendment, like you see on the mob, right? You see the mob takes the Fifth. If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"

To be clear, he absolutely should be taking the Fifth. I'm just laughing at what Trump or the administration is going to say when he gets asked about it.

Former Trump associates Paul Manafort and Roger Stone have turned over documents to Senate Intel Committee.
