They stick with him because the Republican base would rather vote for a Russian asset than a Democrat. Anything to own the libs.
They are largely afraid of his base and being accused of being a RINO. We've seen it before. Look at Flake. Romney now.
Very reminiscent of Nixon, though. GOPers stuck with him for a long time. Complained about politicization of the investigation. Same stuff. Nixon tried to stack the deck. But the truth came out. And they were smart enough to abandon ship.
In the election cycle that followed the Republicans lost 49 seats in the House and four in the Senate, giving the Dems 60 in the Senate, by the way. And a lot of Senate Republicans are up in 2020, including some vulnerable ones.
If it starts to go South, don't be surprised if the GOPers in Congress jump ship en masse. They hate him, anyway because he's a douchebag. Its only fear that keeps them in line right now.
