get 'em both on campus. it'll sort itself out. i think HB has been awesome as a committment and he's going to be sooooo easy to root for, and he's already a fan favorite, and apparently he's awesome at being a quarterback too. lol.
Haynes King is basically everything you want in a QB physically, and mentally it seems, and by all accounts is at least as good as HB right now, with a little athleticism to throw in the mix.
i mean, there's a good chance that if both come here, one of Shrout or Maurer transfers, i'd lean toward Shrout.
JG has plenty of options....if he has a great year, could leave. could be a grad transfer.
bottom line, there's probably pretty good odds on us only going in to next season ('20) with 3 scholarship QB's....and you'd possibly be looking at a competition between maurer, king and bailey. which ever freshman doesn't win it or #2, probably gets the RS.......jmo.
yep. all this. kid is a stud. knows it. and won't shy away because there's more than him in the QB room.Bailey continually shows up to complete against the top rated QB's in the country and keeps getting MVPs. This kid is not insecure like a lot of these posters.
It all started with a Ga poster pointing out Chaney not going after Bailey at Ga and calling King as soon as he got to UT was sign of him not liking Bailey.Bailey doesn't strike me as afraid of competition. I think there is a lot made of losing him because we are recruiting another qb. I'm guessing that since Bailey has been our most vocal recruiter showing up for every event, that he really does not have a problem with this. I would also assume that this was discussed at link with him, Pruitt, and Chaney. Our staff has a reputation of being straight forward. I was nervous a month ago about it. I'm not now given nothing changing publicly with Bailey over that time period.
Pretty sure the olb guy said Bailey isn’t scared of anyoneIt all started with a Ga poster pointing out Chaney not going after Bailey at Ga and calling King as soon as he got to UT was sign of him not liking Bailey.
That and the OLB poster, apparently with Bailey ties, saying we'd better be careful going after another QB.
I don't think anyone believes Bailey is scared of competition, more so they're worried he might believe the Chaney stuff.
I think he's fine with it, personally.
Not to sidetrack, but how are you doing? Take it SLOW and easy especially if you do go to the beach. It all started with a Ga poster pointing out Chaney not going after Bailey at Ga and calling King as soon as he got to UT was sign of him not liking Bailey.

To be honest if you ask a kid to be all in on you, you have to be all in on them. Example: recruit A shuts down his recuritment bye not talking or visiting any other schools. Recruit A spends his time recruiting other players to join his school and promoting that schools vision. You don’t go out and recruit other players. Because recruit A will be left holding the bag at the end if his college decides not to take him at the last min. All because he shut it down and the college didn’t. I have seen this happen
If a kid is committed to a program he will not look at any other schools. In Howells case he never shut down his recruitment he keep visiting other schools.
At the end of the day this is a business and these colleges have to do what they see fit!
The Qb recruiting game is different than any other position in football.
I totally agree with you. So the QBs need a backup plan as well.
No I don’t think Bailey will be. I do wonder why they keep offering QBs.
