'19 TX WR Isaiah Neyor

I was told by Vol Nation we're recruiting too much offense and need to use our spots entirely on defense. Now we're in meltdown mode about offense. I'm not worried at all. We'll pick up another stud WR to replace him. This literally changes nothing on offense.

Personally, the direct impact on the team is not why this concerns me. We’ll be fine at WR.

What concerns me is that we lost a guy we had a huge lead for 2 weeks ago. That’s indicative of a problem. And it seems to be a problem that’s affecting more than just our WR transfer recruiting.

There should be literally zero reason for anyone on this board to be concerned about offense with this coaching staff. Heupel put up a SCHOOL RECORD for points in his first year as head coach with table scraps on his roster. I absolutely guarantee he will get another WR transfer and I am confident he will coach up the other WRs on the roster.

Now, back to freaking out about the defense.

This is indicative of nothing except this dude is a Texan and wanted to go there.

Lose to Purdue without their best players

Lose out on every guy we want in a transfer market with over 1000 guys in it

Our roster is worse now

Florida and LSU are losses at this point

I hate Neyor

I don’t often wish bad things on kids but when they do this type of drama then yes I hope he sucks and is a bust.

Probably one of those that is a locker room headache if he isn’t the lead dog in the room after each game. We will find a WR and having Webb as EE is big

It's not rocket science, and it's not a bad showing on our staff.

The guy is from TX and didn't get a sniff from Texas his first recruitment. He saw a lot of peers and others around the state end up at Texas when he was coming out, and he had to settle for Wyoming. And EVERYTHING in the state of Texas high school football is Hook'Em Horns.

This time around, he gets a huge pull from Texas. They treat him like a king on campus. He probably got to enjoy the spoils of a top-ranked recruit this time, which he didn't even get close to experiencing last time around.

They knew his name, they rolled out the red carpet, they told him what he wanted to hear, they showed him what he wanted to see, they gave him more than he could ever even know to ask for (Austin has some talent, too), they told his family everything they wanted/needed to hear. His family and friends put the press on too.

Then add in whatever their NIL pitch was.

There was nothing that we could do.

At least we didn't lose him to Kiffin and Ole Miss.

We're fine at WR

Secondary on the other hand...

Don't mind me...I'm just here for the meltdown.

Y'all have not disappointed.

If anyone thinks this one WR will make or break our offense going into the 2022 season, you're sadly mistaken imo.

We have one of the best WR classes in recent memory at UT. I'm more excited to see squirrel in this offense than any other WR we've recruited in the last 5 years.

But y'all keep on doing you. It's cheap entertainment.

Should have won this one? This guy was going to Texas as soon as they put the moves on.

Texas was recruiting him before he went on his first visit. He was even supposed to visit them before he visited us. And then he committed to us. It’s not like they just jumped in a few days ago.

So yeah, our staff needs to close better. If you can’t land a guy that’s so impressed with you he commits without visiting, who can you land?

Him committing out of the blue without visiting was fishy in the first place.

It sucks, but we got beat by a home state school and family who wanted him close to home. Sark also has great offenses and past receivers to sell too. I’m sure a good NIL deal is part of it too. What else could we have done?

And we don’t have traction in the portal because we have had to be super picky due to numbers. I know most don’t want to hear it, but Pruitt, Fulmer, and the administration has neutered our roster/portal ability due to self imposed scholarship reductions.
Or don’t turn yourself in to the MCAA and show them all the evidence and we don’t have reductions. Blame goes all around.

Dude if you can't $ee what $wayed him then you are blind...I think he wanted in here, but it is obviou$ that they made a better offer to him and hi$ folk$.

Texa$ isn't even trying to pretend they are doing NIL the right way..they are outright buying players.

A “washed” coach who just got four WR’s drafted in the first round and had a true freshman AA last year with a couple of JAG’s throwing him the ball. Rag on Sark all you want as a head coach but he’s got a lot to sell to offensive skill positions.
Ruggs and Jeudy were already going to be 1st round picks before Sark got to Bama, but you still have good points.
