No matter what, Tyler is an idiot for sleeping with one of his players and a dog for cheating on his wife. If he never coaches again, then it's his own damn fault and he deserves to sleep in the bed he made.

My post you replied to is with regards to whether he is also a sociopath who used his power to force a player to have sex with him, or if she was a consenting adult who knew what she was getting into. Neither absolves Tyler of responsibility for what he's done, but only one of those scenarios warrants the player being referred to as "victim".

Along with the La Tech players and school.
The players now have to find their place with a new coach, and the school has to $find$ that coach.

Maybe a clause should be in coaches' contracts if you're fired or resign for abject disregard of the schools behavioral standards or terms and conditions of employment the cost of replacing you comes out of your pocket.

Just spitballin' here.

But make no mistake, it was abject disregard for proper behavior.

Even if you do so, you should teach your kids the high stakes involved when it comes to sex.

The likelihood is that Summitt and this girl were having an ongoing relationship that was mutual. It is not likely that he was coercing her into sex by using his authority. If he did, shame on him. She still needs to know how to get herself out of that situation without having sex against her will if that was the case.

I don't believe she's a victim but he did cross a line. It's no different than a boss sleeping with one of their subordinates or a professor sleeping with a student. When you hold a certain position there are certain lines you just don't cross. Hopefully he learns from it and can move on in his life.

You have to wonder how many members of the team knew or suspected. You just kind of know or recognize those sorts of things.

I can see many other fans from other colleges making fun of the situation. The ones who throw in disrespectful remarks re Pat Summitt burn me alive, as a UK fan. Pat Summitt doesn't deserve it.
