UNC should be very good, although I expect them to be slow out of the gate as always, especially with Paige out for a month. I expect UNC to be clicking on all cylinders come mid February, and win the regular season. I'll wait and see how they finish because I don't feel anyone on that team has a killer instinct. Everyone talks about Paige, but Justin Jackson is the best player on the team. UNC is definitely Final Four caliber, but I'll believe when I see it.

It's hard to gauge Duke right now because of all the young guys and the fact they haven't really played yet, but I really like the returning leadership of Plumlee, Jefferson, and Jones. Not to mention Grayson Allen looks to be a team leader also. I think the freshman will be very, very good, but it's hard to imagine Duke going on a similar run as last year. Look for Luke Kennard to be a special player for Duke. He's not getting a lot of the same press as the other guys, but he is really good. I'll say Duke finishes 3rd in the ACC, 2 seed and goes to the elite 8. Although I will say this is subject to change considering I haven't seen a second of this season yet.

Grayson will make it in the league, so please stop with the D-league crap. Without a villain like Grayson (even though I think it's incredibly sad the media goes after a college kid and scrutinizes everything he does), ppl who don't watch college basketball watch bc they wanna see what this kid does. He's turned more heads towards college basketball this year than he has turned away. So please, don't say college basketball is better without ppl like him bc that's simply not true. Ppl love a villain to hate, Grayson gives ppl that person and adds something to college basketball the NBA would love to have right now - someone to hate.

Since Indiana is actually a 3 seed in this "Made For TV" East bracket, tonight's game is the de facto Elite 8 matchup. Whoever wins this one should go to Houston.

I don't know much about Indiana, but I am under the impression that, as long as UNC can play the level of defense it has over the past couple of weeks, it should prevail. It sounds like Indiana likes to play a game much similar to ours, except they go through the outside shot. If UNC can limit those options from the outside, the up tempo should favor us. The up tempo is often imitated but never duplicated. No one does it better as consistently as UNC.

Now, let Indiana bury the Great Equalizer all night long, and let us flounder from the outside, allowing them to double down on the low post, and we have a recipe for a big time Indiana win.

I expect no lineup changes, but Meeks is probably gonna be a liability on defense again tonight, so I would like to see Hicks get the start. Play good D, dominate the boards, take the W. Indiana doesn't have much size.
