UNC and Duke Basketball, 2015-16

If UNC shoots the ball and defends the way it has the past three weeks, you can forget about it. Game over, done, nada. Say goodnight.

But, as we know, UNC has been a big question mark all season long.

So, after a 31 point beat down of Notre Dame two weeks ago, we meet for a trip to the Final Four. Who would have thought?

And has there ever been a team with an easier route to the Elite 8 than Syracuse? Holy freaking George Armstrong Custer! I expect Virginia to beat them by at least 20. 25 to 30 to be more exact.

K's looking a little ***** through this whole ordeal and now he's lying about what he said. It's not an opposing coaches place to correct/control a player to begin with but if you're going to do it at least be man enough to stand behind it. I didn't like it when Butch did it to Striker after our game. You don't want someone acting like an ass or overly celebrating during/after the game? Then beat them.

Dana Altman of Oregon Ducks on Dillon Brooks' 3-pointer -- 'He was acting on my orders'

The K ordeal might be the most overblown sports piece in history.

Also, I might be in the money if UNC wins this thing. Don't screw this up Roy.

Looks like unless something substantial changes, the OU tournament director's not so subtle ploy to get OU to the Final Four through the easiest bracket is going to pay off.

Two words: Sheer. Genius.

It's overblown because Brooks accepted the remark humbly and apologized for his "antics". Since it went smoothly, why does K feel the need to lie about what he said? It's on tape and everyone watching the NCAAT has seen and heard what was said, so his "lie" wasn't going to last long. He didn't even catch flack for the comment. Most praised him for taking the moment to teach a kid how to handle/respect the game. I disagree with it being his place to do so but many didnt therefore his denying of saying it was dumb.

Duke Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski apologizes for postgame comments to Oregon's Dillon Brooks

I don't feel like getting deep into this, because I already caused a big enough stink in this thread with my comments basically intimating the same thing, but Dan Dakich had a great line after the UNC-IU game about this matter. Basically, he said that K should worry more about coaching his own players and getting them to stop tripping opponents. I about spit my drink out when he made that last comment.

Well, I be damned if UNC isn't going to have to win the ACC tournament all over again just to get to the title game!

I like our chances against the Fighting James Joyces, but they're always a weird opponent. They'll play you off your heels one night, then you'll beat them by 30, literally, the next night. Notre Dame is a lot like Miami in that regard, I think.

It's hard to imagine North Carolina not winning the whole thing with what's left. Kansas looked to be the toughest test but...

This is how basketball should be played. Share the ball, up and down the court, and clean. They're both trying to play D, just lots of shot making happening.

That was a very entertaining first half. Two good well coached teams who have their stars playing well is what makes the tournament great.

I agree. ****. No more bull**** from UNC fans about getting an easy road to the Final 4 or title game.

They have had an "easy" path this year, but you can only beat the teams you get to play. When first seeded, the East was probably the 2nd toughest bracket.

I know. You can only beat the teams you play. You create your own situation by being very good. Therefore congrats to the Heels on the Final 4 and great season thus far, but I don't want to ever hear anymore bull**** about Butler again.
