Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

So I made this uniform tweak. The new undershirt trend could be used to bring back those sweet stories we used to have. Just a though I had. Thoughts?

It was really more a joke, more than I was trying to be a jerk. Sorry if it came across harsh. I should have added a smiley to let you know I wasn't trying to be a jackass. It was more of a slight dig at the fact that pic has been posted several times.

For my tastes, I could see this uni in a one off throw back scenario. But I'd rather see a white throw back helmet with it. The orange helmet with this combo just makes me think of how much I don't want to look like the Cleveland Browns...unless this is just a ploy for more Haslem money????

haha! now that you say it I agree that an orange helmet would look better. i dont want to be associated with the browns in any way!!!

I never once said they shouldn't be remembered. There are ways to honor teams that don't require the football team wearing non-school colors during a game. The only thing I've really been adamant about is that we should wear exclusively orange and white.

But that's just it. Football has always remembered teams by the throwbacks. I do agree with you though. However seeing it for one game would not bother me at all. It'd Be good for the players and most fans.

No problem.

This is what I imagine a full uniform would look like with these (the pants stripes are weird because I did them late last night, but you all get the idea):

Great job on the design! It's possible some slight modifications could be introduced, but this is definitely the best design that I have seen thus far. Great blend of tradition and modernization for a new look uniform. I hope the 'powers to be' are following this thread. :good!:

I really love the use of the old Adidas leaf too....I'm just not that big of a fan of numbers on the side of the helmet.

First part- what?

Second part- have you looked at the 1914 jerseys?

Adidas wont allow 4 stripes (3 is its motto - no matter what) - as shown on the undershirt and they do look like Bears jersey even though its supposed to be a 1914 UT jersey

It wouldn't look like the Bears jerseys IRL because 1) it's not blue and 2) the stripes are on the undershirt, not the shoulders of the jersey

Incorrect. Michigan's similar throwbacks and sleeves featured far more than 3 stripes. You're reading way too much into their motto.

iirc, Adidas can't do three stripes on uniforms, as it is considered their logo, and their logo has to be limited to a certain size.
