Someone has an actual jersey from the time period, and it is indeed a charcoal gray color, not black.

Ok, so what if the players decide they want the "alternates" to the be the primary uniforms?

That wouldnt happen. You reward players with a new changes, not permanent.

Then of course we let them because it is all about them. Then the next year, they'll decide they had great success in high school, but their colors were green and yellow. Then the year after that, the junior college transfers will only come if we wear royal blue.

Or we could let the former band members decide...
