After 10 mins of us watching warm-ups on August 31st....im sure your mind will change and be all for it!!!
opcorn:
Get your popcorn out, the tears will be epic for the old guys in here. They complain about just wearing black shoes.
So we've got minor tweaks to the home uniform, a complete overhaul of the away uniform and alternates for TWO games? I've said a lot of negative stuff about Derek Dooley, but I'll give him credit in this regard; at least he was dedicated to upholding UT's unique brand, (at least from an aesthetic standpoint) something that Jones flat out doesn't appear interested in doing.
agree about our away unis.
Wow bro you havent even seen them calm downAdding the state outline on the back is pretty cool. Mucking up the whole front of the away jersey with script lettering is just going to be a mistake IMO. The other thing I don't like about it is that it takes away the continuity between the home/away jerseys. In past the away jersey has always been the exact opposite of the home look (with a black outline around the numbers for the past 15-20 years), but now the away jersey is just going to be a random look out of left field that doesn't resemble out home jersey in any way.
Our best hope may be that this will go like the changes in 2002, where they were so wildly unpopular with the fans that they simply did away with them in the middle of the season and went back to the old uniforms. Maybe that'll happen again.

And here ya go:
Because "Tennessee" isn't a part of Tennessee's unique brand? That's like saying "UT", "Vols", or "Big Orange" don't belong as part of our brand. Please take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning.
I think we kept the away uniforms. But I remember going to the Miami game and seeing the old uniforms back and being very happy. The road ones weren't terrible but those wide striped white pants were terrible looking.
