Which version should we never ever change?

#7, my all time favorite. 2nd fav are the 2002 roadies white w thick orange stripe down side of jersey going well the way down pant with bk trim around orange. Disappointing team, beautiful units IMO.

I know it would never happen but it would be cool to use one of our retired styles each week all the way back to the black with orange stripes changing each week.just for one year. Like some anniversary year or something.

The two in the top left corner would be sick throwbacks. Leather helmets might get someone killed tho.

You may have answered this already, but how could we wear gray at Oregon? Is it one of those situations where Oregon had to agree to it or something?

The gray is probably light enough to contrast. Oregon will likely wear either a green jersey or a yellow jersey, so either way a gray jersey would be enough contrast.

True. I just thought it was some kind of rule that away teams had to wear white.

No one said they haven't changed, we said they've only tweaked, which is the point. Their look has virtually been the same since 1960.

People keep bringing up Oregon, Alabama is about as far away from Oregon on the uniform scale as it gets.

I think the rule is the home team can pretty much demand them to wear white, a la Alabama did to us in 2009, but I'm assuming UT has already cleared it with Oregon to wear gray.

I question the commitment of any player who selects a school because he likes the uniforms. As long as it is Tennessee orange and white with a T on the helmet I'm good to go.

These are really small changes. It's not like anyone is not going to recognize that it's Tennessee on the field.

Oh they'll know who it is, the article said the uniforms are gonna say TENNESSEE on the front so they'll know who we are!!!

Luckily none of you "traditionalists" have any say so in this. Get over it, it's not like they are changing the school colors from orange and white and if they did who cares? Tweaking the uniforms slightly or even having an alternate isn't going to kill you and if it does so be it, I'll come visit your grave and toss some daisies on it.

I agree with you, I'm for keeping the traditional jerseys for half the games, but would love to have a solid black on black with some orange numerals and orange power T, also may be a chrome helmet with orange power T on the back of the helmet with orange jerseys and shiny chrome looking pants! There's numerous things that would look great and players/recruits would love. Hopefully UnderArmour or Nike take over in 2015. But we'd still have our traditional uniforms for half the games/ Alabama! !

Im all for gimmicky one game uniforms...for other teams. If you had to picture in your mind what Tennessee football looks like everyone comes up with the same mental picture, white helmets with power T's, orange or white jerseys with white or orange pants.
Now I cant think of one distinct look for teams like Oregon, Maryland, etc.

Sure it does. People want to be Oregon because "new uniforms make you good". If Bama has nothing to do with it, neither does the gimmicks of all the other teams that keep being mentioned.

I betting this will be what the "TENNESSEE" will look like on the away jerseys.
It seems to be what adidas uses the most when they spell out Tennessee.
