By now I guess everyone has seen the new uni's. Who gets the all black ones?
Gators, Tide, Georgia, Vandy?
I'm guessing UGA, but hope Oregon would agree to wearing their white jerseys at home, so we could wear the Smokey Greys. Since we aren't rivals of theirs and with all the flashy uniforms Nike provides them, I doubt they'd care one way or the other, if we asked them.
I did some work on a 3D model, and came up with a carbon fiber version that I think would match the Smokey Greys really well. Can't hurt to add a little sizzle, for the sake of team morale and recruiting.
A lot of people scoff about the impact new duds can make, but when you boil it all down...
we all like to look good. We like to buy stuff....that looks good. Appearance matters. From guns to graphic cards for our computers, to chewing gum (packaging).
I remember when I was in the Army...every day (when you're not in the field) you're expected to show up for formation with sharp looking uniforms. If you didn't you got in trouble, to one degree or the other. If looking sharp didn't matter, why would the Military place such a high emphasis on it?
And in terms of the team/unit morale...it matters, too. Part of any Ranger (all Infantry, actually) Operations Oder would include information about the enemy's
state of morale. Why? Cause it matters...greatly. It means the difference between them fighting tooth and nail, or bailing with the first shot fired.
At the end of the day, sharp looking uni's can impact team morale, favorably. No, that doesn't mean it covers for a lack of talent or coaching, but it can give the team an added (psychological) boost.
