Not sure where you heard that...

He's not a priority, thought more of as a backup, but he's being recruited definitely. Some speculation after Crawford committ, and JJ ill feelings toward Memphis, that Tennessee may push a little bit harder to take advantage of a situation.

Hmm, I haven't seen anything like that. I don't believe he's mentioned UT in recent interviews. Memphis, Bama, Miami, Cincy, Louisville.

I think there's still an excellent chance he's a Tiger, especially if King commits to Memphis on monday. JW3 as well.

Time will tell. Supposedly jw3 is favoring the vols, but like with any recruit you hear different things from all parties.

My "gut" tells me we get one of: Nichols, JW3, Iverson.

We've got the best shot at JW3, so that's why I included him with JJ.

King, who one knowledgeable follower of the Memphis hoops scene once described to me as "a Nike kid all the way," has long been pegged as a future Tiger. Memphis, if you did not know, is a Nike school, as are Vanderbilt and Texas. Tennessee, if you also didn't know, is an Adidas school.

Smith, who has covered the ins and outs of King's recruitment, tweeted on Friday, "(Gut feeling) hasn't changed. I would be shocked if Memphis isn't the pick Monday."

Good thing for all parties, Memphis and UT are pretty much gauranteed to each get one of the three.

They all play the stretch 4, or will in college, so I don't see two going to the same place, but we should both get one. All top 25-40 players.

I've heard rumblings of Jw3 preferring the 3 in college, I think we've discussed that before. So theoretically, he could join one of those 4's.

Theoretically, but I'd think he would be a liability on defense. He may fancy himself a three, but I don't see him sticking high-major SFs on a consistent basis.

Hey BTO what do you think the chances of King and Nichols playing together? Also FWIW most people on the Memphis boards are saying Memphis bound. On a funny note alot of posters over there are saying if CJP does not get King he should be fired

I agree. He would need a lot of work on the defensive side. He's still a really good player though.

Iverson isn't going to play four. He's definitely a three.

Together? Probably 1%

King is probably a 2-3% possibility right now, and Nichols isn't 100%, so both paying together, probably 1%.

And yes, he seems to definitely be Memphis bound, if he goes anywhere else there's going to be an outbreak of heart attacks in Memphis.
