assuming he doesn't leave or lose the fire. It's hard to keep being motivated and intense for years on end without a change of scenery. We've seen it happen a lot.

You really think so? I was at the game and I never got that feeling. Maybe your right but I seriously thought we were the dominate ones in that 1. I remember us coming out after we threw a pick on the first play and then driving down the field and scoring on a slant to Swain,He may not have scored but he was on the 1 yd. line. I will try and watch it again if I can find it. I really don't want to throw up watching us lose to them again.

I think the whispers in the wind are probably going to have Meyer ending up at ND. I just think ND is going to end up throwing enough money... and you have a point.

Pete Carrol is the best coach in the Nation. I'm sorry he has better players and they were the best team in the nation this year. Sorry not the gators. USC has the best D in the nation. They are more athletic on the entire roster than FL

that's not true. UF has a much better offense and more athletic ability on that O.

Tebow is a once in a generation type player...but UF has won 2 other NC's without Tebow so i think they'll be fine.

Probably directly correlated to the fact that Tebow is their QB right now. Why come to a school when you know you won't get playing time for the next 3 years. Wouldn't be surprised if UF doesn't have the pick of the litter next year on QB's.

Also any news on their recruitment of QB's this year?

Although I don't agree with the original post about Urban never winning a NC without Tebow, Leak did not win the first NC for Urban. If Tebow was not on that team, Leak would not have a NC.

I don't know if he will win any more or not--fortune plays a large role in bringing home the crystal egg.

However, I have no doubt that he will have his team in contention for it multiple times if:

1) he stays at Florida, and

2) they stay off probation.

Barring those two dynasty-killing eventualities, I don't see anything to prevent Florida to be in the mix regularly for years to come, with the probability that the chips will fall in the right places for them to win at some point. The same can be said for Oklahoma, Texas, and Southern Cal.

Stats can be manipulated in just about anyway you want. Tebow helped Urban win the first NC. He may not have built a bunch of stats, but he did come in for critical plays in some of the key games for that season. Without Tebow in those key games, FL would not have made it to the NC game that year.

Leak derserves credit for that season, but not all of it. Tebow deserves credit for that NC as well.

This is wishful thinking. They have a great defense and dynamic, fast players on offense. I agree it will be harder without Tebow but not impossible.

I don't remember the specific games (I'm not a FL fan.), but I do remember Tebow being put in during that season on several key 4th downs and getting the first down. At the time, FL did not have a RB that could have done that, and Leak definately would not have been able to do it.

I'm not saying Tebow was the only reason they one it that year as it might be debated this year, but he played a role on that team that helped them win it. He was not "just a backup QB" on that team.

If you remember, Leak was Zook's recruit and not Meyer's. Leak had to modify his style once Urban came aboard, and he never really fit Meyer's offense. Tebow was Meyer's recruit and fit the offense much better.
