US may have killed Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani

which experts? did our appeasement rhetoric stop Iran from their bad behavior?
We should all agree that The Brookings Institution is a good source. Their experts on Middle East policy are Natan Sachs, Suzanne Maloney and Daniel Byman. You won't find anything better on cable news.

I'm confused by Trumpsters claiming "we won." Didn't Trump promise to retaliate for this with missile strikes? Shouldn't we wait to declare victory until after it's over?
The mere fact that they obviously did not want to harm Americans based on Trumps history of acting only in defense of life. Is a win

So, let me get this right: the current situation (and decision by your President) is EXACTLY the response you hoped for, and that's your comment? Have you ever considered moving overseas?
Or at least removing the cranium from the rectum?

If that's the way you want to see it go right ahead. I won't try to redirect you from your hysteria.

He said he would retaliate if US forces or assets hit. That appears to be the case. Trump is a p*ssy. Surprised conservatives would support his cowering to this attack.

It is what I hoped for.

It is NOT what Trump promised, however. He's backing down.

I could give Trump credit... if he hadn't already escalated the hostility with his threats to respond "disproportionately" and attack Iranian cultural sites. That did not help the situation. Also, this isn't over. What happens if Hezbollah attacks the U.S. embassy in Baghdad? Does the United States hold Iran accountable or not? It's a complicated situation. I can't say that Trump has handled this in a deft manner, even though at least so far, it doesn't appear as though there have been any American casualties.
Trump may have not handled it as good as someone else may have, but at least he responded to start with, instead of just letting people die, then apologizing for a video to the killers.

Quote his promise and your analogy of said promise. Give stats that support your claim or be like Volprof and get a new name on here. The current one is completely disgraced to point of no return.
