So we got a couple of despicable terrorists, showed restraint to prevent war, demonstrated that a known enemy is chicken-ish, and you would rather go this route than be thankful for our country, the rest of the freedom-loving world, and our troops? I'm sorry, but I think you should spend some time rethinking your agenda.

You are describing them as mercenaries. Hezbollah is paid by Iran, but their ideology is Shia Jihad and anti-imperialism/anti-Zionism. They aren't just doing it for money. They are a radicalized political party with a strong para-military force. They've been around a long time. They first made news kidnapping and assassinating an important CIA Station Chief named William Buckley in 1984.

I am wondering if the Iranians shot a SAM at an airliner thinking it was a US plane. For a ballistic missile to hit an airliner would seem highly improbable unless they set the TEL's up at an airport before firing and hit an approach.

Yes there crazy. But they don't do it without getting paid. Think of them as a quasi "security" company. But in seriousness Iran is broke.

I get that. I guess I take a different approach, hoping they will listen to reason and rethink their hostility. I love our country and have a long history of family military service, so my blood does tip towards boiling at times when I read some of the comments. Temperance has come with age.
