Qasem Soleimani and Iran gained huge amounts of influence in Iraq because they were the first to respond to the ISIS in Iraq. Both Abu Mahdi al-Mohandas and Soleimani took part in planning and executing the campaign to recapture Mosul.

What anti ISIS campaign were they helping execute in a Baghdadi airport?
